This place is a cool casual New Orleans style place, they have a roof top for those beautiful nights.

Bought a Groupon deal and thought I would be dissapointed, but NOT!
First things first, EVERY Staff at the restaurant was super friendly.
The Jambalaya is one of my favorite dish, also most of the entrees are pretty tasty and not disspointed! Service here is super friendly!
I recommend this place if you are looking for something Southern with a kick in it.
Meh. That about sums it up for me when it comes to Bourbon Street. I've been to NOLA and this place tries to capture that vibe but it misses completely. The menu is Southern inspired but there's little cajun fare here.
The newly renovated decor was nice and they clearly spent a lot of money making this place look like it actually belongs in the Big Easy. The food was sub par IMO. The prix fixe is reasonable at 25 bucks but the meals in general taste like they belong in a school cafeteria. The coconut chicken appetizer was massive but bland. Turkey special was dry (and someone explain why a so called cajun joint is serving turkey and gravy in June). Lobster and clam bake was really lacking and the wife was none too pleased. Best thing we had was the seafood cobb salad (shellfish done well but salad was not). Salmon was overcooked and my son's cornmeal breaded chicken was bland and dry. I will say no one should leave hungry from this place as the servings are MASSIVE.
Service was so-so as our server was nice but really did nothing in terms of service. We often had to ask her for things but when we did, she got them quickly. Probably a hard pass when there are so many choices in the area.
This is for the food on the rooftop only. If you want my opinion about the downstairs restaurant see my previous review as I still stick by it.
Honestly- the rooftop is awesome to come for drinks, be outdoors and chill with a date, friends or fam. They really did a great job with it. The bartenders are friendly and fun as well.
As for the food….I think not. Came here for fathers day dinner, sat on the rooftop as it was gorgeous out and not too crowded. But the service and time it took to get a drink and your meal, it should have been crowded! Everything took FOORRREEEVVVVERR to come out. And all we ordered was chips and guac, sandwiches and salads. Nothing that should take long to come out at all. And for the price of everything, it hurts to say this…but you get better portions and quality DOWNSTAIRS in the restaurant or at Press 195.
The chips and guac: guac is good, chips are stale and small amounts come out. The chicken sandwiches are good, you get a small side of potato chips on the side. The bourbon salad is good and the tuna tartare is good, but it comes out with more tortilla chips. Kind of an odd mix.
The food has potential. But to be honest…when it comes to the rooftop, Ill stick to the drinks and leave the food to be eaten downstairs.
I'm convinced they went to Mexico and learned the true way to make guacamole. Everything is so delicious from the guacamole, the lobster sliders, the regular sliders and (while trying not to scream out of happiness) the truffle pizza!! The drinks are good and the service at the bar is admiringly attentive. The rooftop is awesome, it feels like you're in NYC.
I've come here before but just now getting around to writing a review. I came here on a Tuesday night for ladies night with my fiancé and friend. We arrived at around 9 pm but was informed by the bartender that it didn't start until 10pm and was at the bar on the main floor only.
We opted to goto the rooftop and have a round while we waited to go back downstairs. The rooftop was covered by a tent and has warmers because it still is a bit chilly at night.
I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. Which was made to perfection. I wish I had got the bartenders name. It was honestly on of the best I've hade in a very long time. My friend ordered a Long Beach Tea (which is the almost the same as a long island minus the coke but substituted with cranberry juice.) She also raved about how well executed her drink was.
The fiancé had a Samuel Adam's Summer Ale. He is very particular with his beers and loves him a Sam Adams.
When the time came with returned downstairs and ladies night had began. We pulled up to the bar and ordered another round. This time he had an Abita Purple Haze, I ordered a vodka tonic and my friend had a vodka cranberry. He loved his beer because it is nostalgic of his time he spent in New Orleans. My friend didn't care for her drink. The spirits used for ladies night are bottom shelf.
There also was a dj playing. He was meh. Honestly no love was put into the smooth transition of song to song. I would have rather fed the jukebox my money. All in all I'll be back.
Upstairs is a fun rooftop bar / dining area that's different from the restaurant portion downstairs. They have a different menu that's more bar friendly with foods like pizza, burgers, chips and wings. They've got TV's so you can watch the game, sofas for lounging and drinking and a patio that overlooks the area. I would definitely recommend for warmer weathers ahead as you can watch the sun setting as you're eating.
Our waitress, Alex, was fantastic. We were seated outside on the patio blocked off by a clear plastic tent, but she still came over often to make sure we were doing okay. Her recommendations were also terrific. She recommended two drinks that were sweet and fun, and the margherita pizza which was the best part for me. It wasn't crispy, but it was thin crusted with just enough sauce and cheese.
We also ordered the chicken sandwich which was just okay. And the guacamole was just okay too. I'm not sure what it is, but the rest of the food was not memorable at all. Just your basic chicken sandwich… it wasn't juicy or all that flavorful. And the guacamole was very rustic, but it had too many tomatoes for my liking and could've used more seasoning. The chips were just okay too. Probably out of a bag or something.
Overall, I would come back for drinks, pizza and whatever else my waitress would recommend, but I wouldn't get anything else.
I tried this place for the first time last weekend when I was visiting a friend in NY. We were walking around and thought this place looked like fun, so we stopped by. We went up to the rooftop bar, which was an absolute blast. They have happy hour specials mon-fri from 3-6, including $2 oysters and $5 sangria. It was pretty packed, so I recommend getting there early. We ended up finding a spot and ate dinner up their as well. I ordered the lobster roll. It was good. Overall, this is a fun drinking spot.
