Amazing place near NYU with tons of great food and atmosphere! The staff from the moment I checked in for a dinner reservation until my group of 4 headed out after multiple glasses of sangria, were so sweet and accommodating. It was a hot day but we were promptly seated outside even though our entire party hadn't arrived yet. They also brought ice water immediately to help us cool down. We had just missed the happy hour but Soco the hostess brought us an extra drink, which was very appreciated! We also checked in and got a free dessert which was a delicious chocolate cake a la mode. The chicken was so juicy and the tangy sweet sauce that came with it was perfect. The garlic green sauce and the creamy green sauce went really well with our medium rare hanger steak and the fejoada which I normally don't order was absolutely delicious!

Happy hour is amazing. The beef picadillo empanadas are rich and savory. The mojito is good. Cuban sliders are on the small side, but good nonetheless.
My friend and I met a few more friends here to watch France vs. Portugal this past Sunday, and we couldn't have picked a better place to watch the match!
Grabbing a table at the back, we had a good view of the screen. And since we hadn't eaten, we also had the chance to sample some of their food, which was tasty! I ordered the ensalada de camerones, or shrimp salad. Replete with tomatoes and guacamole, it was nicely combined. People also ordered the croquetas de chorizo and fries for the table. The fries were my favorite!
To drink I had a sparkling mojito, and later an espresso. The mojito was well-blended, and the espresso surprisingly decent.

Fun vibe and good food. We got the corn, empanadas, guacamole, seafood paella, lechon, and croquettes. They were mostly all really good. I guess the only one that was slightly disappointing was the paella, but probably because this place isn't Spanish. The portions don't look huge but they are filling. Prices are decent. And if you check in on Yelp you get a free dessert! Great place for a date or hang out with friends.
Cheap happy hour – drinks and food $7. The mama margarita and caipirinha was delicious. My friend and I shared the cod fish cakes and fried calamari. The fish cakes were disappointing. The waitress said 4 pieces would come but we only got 3. Whatever. The texture was to mushy and it was bland. The calamari was good but we got a lot of the little legs pieces.
I was in the neighborhood with my girl friends and found the sign of 'happy hour $1 oyster' on the street. We walked in around 6:45pm and managed to order happy hour drinks & oysters before 7pm.
Oysters were pretty fresh with decent size. Red Sungria we had was standard; however, there was a bit too much ice in our 1st round drinks. We requested 'no ice' on our 2nd round and was satisfied with it. We also had desserts, coconut flan and brownie! We could barely tasted any coconut in the flan; however, it wasn't bad at all. The brownie was pretty great with vanilla ice cream.
The lady who served our table was friendly and gentle. It's a good place to gather with friends if you need some space with decent food&drinks.
I've walked past this place a thousand times, and I'm glad I finally checked it out! It's a cute little restaurant perfect for a leisurely lunch.
We started with the chicken empanadas, which were good, but the accompanying mojo verde sauce was seriously addictive.
I know I probably should have tried more of their namesake Brazilian and Cuban menu items, but I went with the half sandwich/soup/mixed greens lunch combo. The chicken soup hit the spot on a cold day, while the grilled veggie sandwich was nothing I haven't had before, but still delicious. Portions weren't huge, but were still filling.
Pro tip: you can get a free dessert if you check in on yelp! We tried the brownie and it wasn't memorable, so I'd definitely try one of their other options (like coconut flan) instead.
Service was relaxed, but very friendly. I'll be back to try more of their regional food (and maybe their bottomless brunch) soon.
service was fast and the cuban eggs benedict is a very filling serving with ham and chorizo. they gave us a chef made hot sauce that was surprisingly orange and spicy but flavorless. the bloody mary was not that ood but they gave us dedsert on the house and the tres leche cake was ahmazinnggg
