Kurant
“At brunch they have a $19 all you can drink breakfast cocktail special so my friends took part in that.”
“The vibe was cool – I would say most people were in their 30s. When I was there early on a Friday night, they were playing mostly 80s music, which I liked a lot.”
“The Mac and cheese is so good, I finish my large portion and wanted more.”

Great place to come for drinks or wine. Some high top tables in the front and regular tables in the back. always good music playing- the last time I was there they played oldies which seems odd for a Saturday night but was actually a lot of fun. The service is hit or miss.
Drinks- carafes of wine, some beers on draft and a full bar. asked for a filthy martini which I got a look for when I ordered but it was sufficiently dirty and the olives were good. Yes I judge the olives that come in my martinis. As everyone should.
Food- good cheese and charcuterie platters. Many types of cheeses served w nut/raisin bread, grapes, and jam. The blue cheese and Brie were really creamy. I could have had 3 more orders. The menu aside from the appetizers and salads is relatively small. The spinach artichoke dip was great- not too creamy and nice chunks of artichoke hearts in it HOWEVER it needed to be about two times the size. The Mac and cheese (which we ordered without bacon) was ok. Not enough stringy cheese and not enough umph. Maybe that's why it usually comes with bacon b The burger is tasty and cooked very nicely. I haven't ordered any of the other entrees.
Overall impression- come here for drinks and appetizers. Get your mains elsewhere.
Cute little wine bar that is always packed.
The champagne on happy hour was flat the last time I was there.
Decent pricing on wine and food, it's a nice girl's night out.
This is my new after work spot. $6 happy hour wine and lots of good food to munch on! Two cozy booths in the back, a couple great sized high tops tables and a welcoming bar. The bruschetta is a great snack for happy hour. So is the buratta or the Mellon and prosciutto. For dinner the burger was good! Service and staff is great!
This is a great place! It's chic but still casual. It was not full, although the service was a bit slow. We waited 10 minutes for our waitress to come to pick up our bill. In any case, the menu is quite appetizing. The chicken was juicy and tender. It came with delicious fingerling potatoes, carrots, and spinach. I loved this dish, but it was a bit small unfortunately for the price. My friend got the turkey burger, which he said was good too.
The chocolate mousse cake was also divine. Perfect way to finish off the meal!
Weekend brunch is all you can drink for 90 minutes – mimosas, Bellinis, and Bloody Marys! Definitely worth the price ($19) and the entrees for brunch are delectable. Atmosphere is a little flat but it's quiet and you can have a conversation without shouting so that's a bonus.
Accepted online order. Called to say they no longer serve the item. Didn't bother to cancel order out of the system. Sent confirmation and took the money and ran. Not sure if this place is run by children or adults.
I came to Kurant with a friend for pre-dinner drinks. We had a good experience overall and enjoyed ourselves in this casually classy restaurant. The table shared spinach artichoke dip, bruschetta, garlic & rosemary French fries and caprese. It was 7:30PM on a Friday night, and the place was fairly well packed. Despite that, the noise levels weren't too high. While none of the appetizers were particularly remarkableW, the caprese was on the bland side. I have had awful caprese salads before, as well as excellent ones, and this was solidly in the middle. The mozzarella was OK and the tomatoes weren't quite as fresh I would have preferred. That said, the fries are quite well seasoned),
The three of us ordered a variety of red wines, and I selected a nice tempranillo. While the server was attentive toward the beginning of our time there, she became less and less visible as time went on. When we were ready for the check, we had to ask several times, and it took ages to finally get the check (I was late for my dinner appointment).
One regrettably memorable point: The seats (probably faux leather, as real leather does not cause this effect) are very hot and sweaty.
Hot.
And.
Sweaty!
And I'm going to leave that there.
Kurant is a romantically-lit establishment with a large bar and about 15 tables. The place seems to be pretty crowded, but there's enough space for everyone to get in and out. The staff was very nice, but not necessarily the most attentive since they're simultaneously bartending and waiting tables.
My bronzino entree was great overall! The mashed potatoes had the perfect texture, and the spinach was seasoned just right. The bronzino was yummy at first bite, but then bits and pieces of it weren't as hot as the rest of the plate. Also, I found a couple bones in the filet… eh. Prices are also very reasonable for the neighborhood — one of the few $$ eateries in the area.
