  1. I've been wanting to go to Streets ever since I started following Chef Roble on Instagram. The concept of street food from all around the world was really cool. I love all things Williamsburg, so I was just waiting for the perfect time to go check it out. That time came when my girlfriend came to town from Buffalo while we were celebrating my cousin's birthday. It was beautiful day in Brooklyn…. which made for their open "wall" even more appreciated. I was surprised that there weren't too many people in the venue, but then again, most New Yorkers head to some shore during Memorial Day weekend. I love how the place is set up, the feel that it gives is super relaxing. The bathroom was really cool (and CLEAN!) It was about 6 of us and we came during brunch, so we took full advantage of the unlimited vodka special for $15. Our bartendar, Carl, hooked those drinks up!! They were so freakin tasty… just vodka and pineapple juice, but with his twist (I'll keep his secret lol). And he was so friendly! Great addition to your venue, Streets.

I ordered the Mexican Street Corn–so tasty! The Costa Rican breakfast was just what I'd expected. My company order peri peri wings and the french toast. I tried all. The food is a hit.

Before we were heading out, Chef Roble came in and sat at the bar. It was a cool addition and sighting to round out the experience.

    UPDATE:

Came back in with my hubby for our anniversary. Sat at the bar–Carl was there again. He is super cool and the service was magnificent. Tried the Streets Painkiller.. it is purple in the best way.

    Will return!!

  2. Taurus (sure i spelled this wrong) at the bar is engaging and makes a hell of a bloody mary. Came in for brunch and hoping to try the peri peri wings but they were out. Had the special that day which was oxtail bao. delicious…small portion though but delicious. Cute decor

  3. Delicious fusion street food from all over the world.  Really well presented, small eats and larger dishes (on the more expensive side) if you so desire.  Had bulgogi tacos, hot dogs, and chicharones (get those!) – decent sized portions for small eats plates.  Go here for dinner, go here for drinks and apps, it's a little bit of everything.  The space of the restaurant was much larger than expected and it was really nicely decorated (fancy bathrooms).  Great service!  I'll be back!

  4. This place has some great vibes! Great variety of street foods and excellent drinks. I'd most def come back and bring my friends!

  5. I don't know if sunday is leftover day… But 10 of us sat on the bar ordered some beer and lemonade and churros. The lemonade just tasted like watered down sprite and the churros tasted like it was fried multiple times and was overley coated with sugar and did not give a good after taste.
We also saw the bar being unsanitary, watering down their drinks over the sink! They keep their big tub of mixed alcohol open containers under the sink which is pretty gross, smaller mixed drinks were kept in a plastic container that seem like left over containers… Yeah… Will not be returning.

  6. Love everything about this place!  It's spacious and beautifully designed.  The service was A1.  I started off with the tequila cocktail they had on the menu, which was made with apple and spiced rim.  It's my new favorite cocktail.

We started off with the Tapas Two Street, which is a sample size of the more popular items.  The Peri Peri Wings were my favorite!  Full of flavor and spice.  The Chicharrones was good, but a little too salty for my taste.  The Thai Duck Salad was also a nice fresh change from the rest.  We then got the Mariscadas, which is a big pot of seafood (mussels, crab, shrimp, squid).  It was flavorful, but definitely recommend getting some kind of rice with it, as it is a soupy dish.  We did get the fries, but they were just OK.

  7. So I learned of Streets thru multiple ways. Blogs when it first opened and I also saw Chef Roeblings on a talk show talking about the restaurant.  This review is based on my two experiences.

This restaurant is beautiful. It's open and airy , very industrial, it has an open kitchen, interesting music and great art.  The food is also very thought out. Streets, has a lot of great dishes from different ethnic groups.  I recommend to share Dishes so you can taste a bunch of food.

When we decided to visit I made both reservations on opentable. Our first experience with Streets I feel with the wait staff was much more pleasant then this last time.  When walking in both times, they found our reservation easily and sat us promptly. This time I was flagged on opentable as a no-show. When we arrived they specifically confirmed who we were with a last name. I think there was a lot of confusion because there was three people working the hostess stand. Maybe there should only be one! When we were seated our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. Unfortunately though it was hard to get refills and have the table cleaned of the dishes.

When checking into Yelp this restaurant offers free incentives. Which I think is great! First time was cheese bread which was delicious. This time a margarita. We showed our waitress and she was more then kind to order it.  We waited a bit and The bartender brought it over slapped it on our table and said "Here's your YELP margarita"!! It was off color,  admitted a smell And when we sipped it, it tasted weird! Like salty, dirty water!! No alcohol, no flavor! Well after that one sip we weren't touching it!!  It was like a joke or something!   Why offer something if your not going to properly prepare it? Furthermore we thought about having drinks after dinner at the bar, But that def put a damper on it!!

I'm giving Streets three stars for the food only because everything was near excellent!  Here's what we had:

The bulgogi beef tacos. These tacos are soft with bib lettuce, rice, a ton of soft tender meat, onions and peppers. It's sweet and it has a little kick. I must say it is my fav. We ordered it both times. This order has two pretty large tacos.

We ordered doubles. This was my first time ordering this. The flavors were different. It has a hint spice and curry. I loved that there was a ton of chickpeas. Again the order was enough to share.

We had the Cuban. My all time fav sandwich. It's everything what a Cuban is suppose to be! Pork, ham pickle and spice from the mustard

We had the trio hot dogs with duck confit, chili and onion jam all were good but def filling. The duck was amazing and my fav!

The duck confit salad was fried and delicious over a cold salad. It was seasoned perfectly. The duck brought a crunchy element.

Also we had the jerk pork it's a large portion with a small cold salad and plaintains. The pork falls apart.  it's sweet and a bit of spice. it's really delicious. The plaintains are sweet and addicting!

Lastly we had the Dahl. unfortunately they didn't have the coconut rice which I think that's what it was missing. it was really good it was more of a veg stew then Dahl I think. Again a large portion to share.

We ordered the Irish car bomb which we thought was lacking in flavor.

Streets is great, but it needs help with their staff. I feel they are a tad unprofessional and unorganized. The food is delicious.  I think I'll wait though to come back. Being treated nicely when going out is key! (251)

  8. I have been so excited to try this place since I have seen Chef Roble on The Chew many times. Well I finally dragged two friends with me and we came here.
We had a drink at the bar and the drinks were really good and strong the way I like them. As we were ready to go to our table and wanted to pay for our drinks they told us the tab would just transfer to our table. I really loved that and I wish more restaurants would do that.
We decided to start with three appetizer (mini shark, Mexican corn and wings). All three were good but not amazing, I was expecting amazing after all the great reviews.
Now for my entrée I got the snapper in a plantain leaf with mashed sweet plantains. I have to say the best part of my meal were the mash plantains since the fish was very bland.

Maybe my expectations were too high coming here.
