holy shit nothing is edible at this place, I was surprised I didn't come out with food poisoning. everything here was extremely stale and old, they had plenty of items here that I could not identify the kind of meat that was in it. although they had a seafood selection here, it looked incredible unappetizing, and seemed like a sure fire way to get hepatitis. the food here was NOT edible, nothing was fresh, and everything here seemed at least a day old and poorly prepared. I really don't know how this place is still in business………..
The steak was decent, but the rest no….except the fortune cookie of course.
Mashed potatoes were instant. The food was lukewarm at best. Do not trust the raw bar.
It is certainly overpriced especially for food not worth eating.
Buffets, in my eyes (or stomach, I should say), are the waterparks of the food world.
They are often overrun by people half your size, have practices that make you question their safety and cleanliness and serve alcohol, which you wouldn't expect?
However, Rus & I just had to visit this buffet in our 'hood…because it's a buffet in our hood! They have about 4 tables of food set up: cold salads, American + fried foods (french fries, pizza), standard "Chinese" food (the dumplings were the only thing that I thought were decent, everything else was lukewarm and kind of gross). The pineapple shrimp was straight nasty (extremely mushy). They have clams on the half shell, which kind of freaked me out (who knows how long they were sitting out?), crab and all that other stuff. They serve beer.
If you enjoy quantity over quality, this place is definitely for you.
If you think about what you're putting into your mouth for longer than the 30 seconds that it takes for you to put it on your plate, this place is not for you.
p.s. my friend says that this place also hosts raves? that sounds way more interesting than the buffet.
also, they do have a really cool fountain in the front of the place (when you first walk in), but it doesn't seem like it's maintained.
