Jackson Hole
“Jackson Hole is filled with quarter operated table-side jukeboxes that can alleviate the house "music" that they play.”
“Hopefully, one day they will expand to Northern Manhattan or up in the Bronx and I wont have to visit Queens for a great burger.”
“Long layover in LGA or hanging out in this neck of the woods make this a good place to stop.”

Let me start by saying that prior to coming here I recommend you dont eat for the entire day. After passing by Jackson Hole for years and seeing the always crowded parking I finally got a chance to see what all the hype was about. I had prior knowledge that Jackson Hole was known for its burgers but had no clue there was a full breakfast menu along with wraps, sandwiches, and other diner favorites. After a long decision making process I decided to try the broccoli soup for starters followed by the 7oz. Santa Fe burger. The Santa Fe was topped with guacamole, chedder cheese and onions. This burger was absolutely amazing and big as hell, cooked to perfection medium rare. Very juicy on the inside cause everyone hates a dry burger. And to top it off, it came with a heaping serving of steak fries. Now I see why Jackson Hole is a Queens favorite. My only suggestion is that they season the meat a little bit but for the most part I Cant wait to come back and sample more goodies.
This place is a little out of the way, off the beaten path, however you want to put it. It's not super convenient to walk to but we did it anyway.
All I have to say is that 1) the burgers are HUGE. 2) It's a tad pricey to customize or add certain things and gets pretty confusing. 3) The staff is super helpful and understanding about how overwhelming the burger menu is. 4) The burgers are probably just a little too much for most people, BUT 5) you won't have to eat another meal that day.
Overall, the vibe is cool, small town diner dropped on the side of the busy Astoria Blvd. They also have outdoor seating which was nice but inside is where the real old-school feel is at. If you want a burger the size of your head, this is the place. If that's not a requirement for your burger bucket list than I'd maybe pass on it.
Good 'ole fashioned burgers x10 is what Jackson Hole offers the very hungry. While size typically doesn't matter–or so I've been told mostly by the other half of our species–JH offers both size and quality. The menu is composed primarily of a plethora of burger offerings but there's plenty for fowl feeders and vegetarians.
This particular JH–like the one in Englewood, NJ–occupies a former '50s diner. Much of the art deco elements have been preserved. And did I mention that this is the place to go to for great shakes? Calorie counters need not apply.
Love this location! I've eaten at two other Jackson Hole Diner locations but this one is by far my favorite. It's the quintessential greasy spoon to me. Big menu, good food and not an absurd price tag. I got the chicken wrap with roasted red peppers, avocado and spinach. I forget what they call it but it was delicious. Our waitress recommended it and she didn't steer me wrong. Steak fries were very good also. Oh and I almost forgot my favorite part; the pickles they serve as an appetizer!
Give this spot a try if you haven't. I don't think you'll be disappointed!
For 11 years I saw this Jackson Hole location near La Guardia airport and finally I took the time to check it out for breakfast with the family. I had no idea they were known for their burgers until now, so will need to go back for that. Anyway, yeah, solid place for sure. Pricey though. $35 for my wife and I to have breakfast. But it was certainly good. Old-timey, Route 66 feeling is a plus. Love the classic cash register. Crayons and coloring placemat for our toddler to doddle with. Fun family place.
I had the Santa Fe burger (guac, raw onion + cheddar cheese on a burger) and a garden salad. The platter comes with lettuce, tomato, and fries, so I'm wondering if you just get the burger, if you don't get the lettuce & tomato which is kind of sad. The fries are steak fries (thick-cut), and I really prefer the thin kind, but they were pretty good.
The guacamole is really good and the burgers are GINORMOUS. I've never been to any other place that serves burgers this large. I asked for medium-rare but it was more like medium well. Still yummy though.
My parents were surprised a burger would cost $15+ but prices are pretty similar at places like Umami or bareburger, except the burgers here are like 2x the size. A fair deal IMO.
They also give you unlimited amount of pickles, which is the best because I love pickles.
The food does take a while, but that kind of makes sense considering it probably takes a while to cook the huge patties. The workers are all nice and friendly, especially considering my Asian parents & their Asian friends kept calling them over with, "Amigo! Amigo!" Cringe.
Visited a few times after my wife took me here, and now it's becoming my favorite burger spot. This place has some man size burgers, not these 2oz patties others might serve. Plus they have pretty decent selections on the type of burgers you can get. I mean they do serve other food and have specials etc., but I mean c'mon who goes to Jackson Hole and looks at the other parts of the menu.
I love the burgers and it only makes me sad that I had to decide whether I want to finish the whole burger or only eat half and gets some fries. They sell dessert as well but I'm always too full to even think of it as an option. They also have plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors and the service is on point.
The Astoria location basically looks like one of those diners you usually see on one of those classic television shows; just proves the theory that diners make the best burgers!
Visited a few times mainly because it's becoming one of my husband's favorite spots; a manly place where they serve tons of meat and high cholesterol. Don't get me wrong I like the place too, the burgers are beyond HUGE, cooked perfectly and still so juicy on the inside. Plus they have a pretty decent selections on the type of burgers you can get. I mean they do serve other food and have specials etc., but I mean c'mon who goes to Jackson Hole for anything else!!!

The LIC location basically look like one of those diners you usually see on the turns off when you're on the highway which isn't a bad thing; just proves my theory that diners make the best burgers!
