I ordered the squash sandwich with ricotta and cilantro, it was heaven. My date ordered the brisket. We both got mint lemonade which wasn't too sugary at all. Upscale vibe, better than Starbucks to work remotely from. Outlets easily accessible to charge electronics. Staff very friendly. When we finished our lemonades no one comes over to upsell and ask if you want another which is both good and bad. No one bothers you. We finished eating and stayed talking for another hour. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Would definitely return for healthy choices and peaceful ambience.
Loved this place!!!!! It has the quality of a sit down restaurant but it's very quick and affordable. You walk up to order and they bring the food to your table in minutes. The place is huge with plenty of place to sit and with a labtop. The menu has a good mix of sandwiches, soups, and salads so there is something for everyone.
I go the avocado toast with an egg which was TO DIE FOR. First of all its huge and comes with a steak knife. The avocado is creamy and very well seasoned. Lots of citrus notes and a hint of spice. The toast was crunch enough to hold the weight of the avocado.
My friend got the ricotta toast special which was good but lacked seasoning.
My vegetarian gluten free friend got the Lenore soup. She very satisfied with how hardy and well seasoned it was.

Quick breakfast and lunch spot that is conveniently next to the 1 train. It has both indoor and outdoor seatings with open long tables and smaller individual wooden tables. The food is great and tasty! However I'm subtracting a star for the tiny portion in the price range. For 10 bucks you get a tiny salmon bagel and a mini pickle, it's very good don't get me wrong, and I can see myself returning, but definitely would not work for an average size person but if you are small like me, it might just be the perfect meal without putting you to sleep immediately!
I'm so glad to have Gotan in walking distance from our home. Totally digging the spacious, peaceful, and airy atmosphere (so TriBeCa). And not only does the food taste good, but it looks good too!
The BF & I tried it out for lunch earlier this week. I had a cold brew and the tuna avocado poached egg salad. The BF had an iced tea and the Brooklyn cured ham sandwich.
We will definitely be back for more casual sips & bites!
What a hidden gem in Tribeca!! A friend recommended Gotan to me last week. I looked it up and saw all the photos of the delicious sandwiches, soups and salad! Through seamless, I ordered the tuna salad with avocado and poached egg and my friends got chicken sandwich and vegan sandwich for a workday lunch. The delivery was fast 15-20mins. Luckily! I enjoyed the most delicious amazing looking tuna salad (just look at the photo) – the tuna meat was fresh and creamy! (I had bitter tuna salad at many other places before. I am suspicious about if it is relevant to the freshness of the meat. But don't worry about Gotan's freshness! The meat is tender, fresh, creamy! Not bitterness as all, even for a Monday work lunch – you know what I mean ? =) ) I also deeply enjoyed the crunchy bread with spread – gourmet level deliciousness! Various veggies with little sour dressing was delicious too – a little sour, but just the right amount of savory. My friends also deeply enjoyed their sandwiches.
I will order/even pay a visit for weekend brunch soon again! Love to try their sandwiches/soup/coffee!

The chicken sandwich is amazing too! It's fulfilling and healthier (no cheese) – juicy flavorful meat (smart move to add radish!). If you are ordering for delivery like me, please open he sandwich once it arrives. Otherwise, the foil will make the bread soggy.

I am in LOVE with this TriBeCa cafe. I don't know WHAT herbs you put in that omelette sandwich, but I WANT MOAR. And I don't even like sandwiches!
Nice neighborhood place. People working (and not working) in the middle of the day Monday. I like the vibe, the speed of service, my limited interaction with the staff. Coffee was great. Tuna, avocado and poached egg salad was pretty good, but I expected seared tuna at this price point (yes I live in Tribeca so fully aware of what things cost), or at least not tuna salad with my leaves. The salad was good, but if I knew "tuna" meant "tuna salad", I just wouldn't have ordered it. Now I am regretting not having the tuna Niçoise salad special. Will have to come back and try it.
Woke up early Friday morning to try this spot before work. Huge coffee shop doling out amazing looking sandwiches at reasonable-for-the-area prices.
Barely anyone inside so got to quickly order a Scrambled Cheddar Biscuit ($7) and a Latte ($4.75). Got the meal in about 4 minutes (efficient!). The food just looks amazing: a toasted biscuit sandwiching an overflow of eggs, cheese, and herbs. Biscuits have a hint of cheddar and is paired well with the flavorful omelet. They even give you a small Sriracha bottle on the side for that added kick it needs. The latte is made perfect – aka needs no sugar and is strong enough to wake me up.
Aside from the fast and friendly service, the spot itself is big and filled with phone charging stations. Probably the best sitdown coffee spot I've been to in the city. Absolutely want to try one of their lunch options next time.
