  1. Good but not unique.  It's a little pricey but you get exactly what you'd expect, a tasty crepe.  I felt I was waiting for quite a while for my crepe (about 15 minutes), despite being the only customer.  There are so many great places within a block of Golden Crepes that I have a hard time recommending it to anyone.

  2. The GF (buckwheat) crepes here are not very good. The chicken was over cooked and overall the crepe just did not have any flavor. Glad I had them add pesto to make it a but more manageable. I ended up throwing out the crepe after about 6 bites because it was that bad.

The reason it gets two stars is because the people were very kind, and in sure their regular options are better.

  3. "Wine bar" is an overstatement. This is a small, low key crepe spot that's good for grabbing lunch or dessert with a friend. It's tiny and there's a lot of white plastic. It's not a date spot, not a place to go with a group, and kind of overpriced.

I had the Nutella hot chocolate and it was delicious– it tasted like liquid Ferrero Rocher, with whipped cream on top. We also had a crepe with dark chocolate and berries, which was good. (But how could it not be?) The free scoop of vanilla ice cream was a nice addition.

  4. It's your standard crepe place. Nothing mind-blowingly delicious, but also not offensively untasteful. They offer both savory and sweet crepes filled with various fillings like ham, cheese, and avocado on the savory side and strawberries, nutella, and bananas on the sweet side. They also offer gluten-free / buckwheat crepe. Golden Crepes is a chain and I believe they have a location in East Village as well.

  5. Pretty solid crepes and a great price – can't go wrong here!  If you want more of an authentic French crepe, try Le Grainne on 9th Ave.

  6. This was a late night Yelp find – we were the only ones in the restaurant. One may say – how can you go wrong with crepes, but trust me you can. These were of the good sort. I can't comment on service, and you don't go here for the ambiance – that of a tiny cafe with 4 tables squeezed together, but the crepes were quite good. I had the tomato-basil-mozzarella crepe and my bf has the nutella crepe. We both liked ours.

  7. I got a dark chocolate & strawberry crepe. It was fair. Pretty good, but not excellent. I prefer my crepes crispier. I did like that they offered dark chocolate – not many places have it. My friend's Nutella crepe was jam packed with Nutella. After taking one bite, my mouth was glued shut! At least you know they don't skimp! The Nutella hot chocolate was interesting – very hazel-nutty. Later, they gave us a free crepe because they had messed up on an order. Score! Too bad we were only able to eat half of that as we were so stuffed!

    Service was excellent!

  8. Came here for a quick coffee and dessert after dinner with my boyfriend, and it was pretty good! I just got a dulce de leche crepe with strawberries and bananas (8.75) and a coffee and hot chocolate. The crepe is definitely big enough to share with another person and still feel full, so no need to get your own unless you really a) have a huge appetite or b) hate sharing. The hot chocolate was also really delicious, it was like Ferroro Rocher in liquid form!

We went on a Friday night and it was pretty quiet and peaceful in there – not a bad place to go to for a late night dessert (never had their savory crepes, so I can't speak for that!)
