As far as rodizio goes, not impressive at all. The salad bar lacked enough items to make a salad and it smelled rather unpleasant. My gf had the chicken which was basically the same chicken they use for rodizio but you get 3 pieces. I had the rodizio and from time I ordered to the time it came out it took over 1 hr! Unacceptable. The staff doesn't speak much English which is cool. The waiter was friendly but a little aloof. As bad as this may be to say, Iberia's was better. Disappointed that we didn't go to Fernandes which is better but it's always good to try something different…and fail.
Stay away from the Sangria with Champagne. It's $35 and doesnt taste good. The red Sangria is very good. Overall not going back to this place. Not worth it. Plus it was kind of pricey!
We went on a Wednesday at 5PM which is a dead time in general. The buffet was nothing special, but a good value combined with the Rodizio for $20.00.
The waiter was young and a bit clumsy, he was a nice kid, smiled a lot, but seemed like he may have been new to the routine. I had the Paella, it was OK, but not the Ferry Street experience of the old days.
Good place. Came and met up with a friend while I was waiting to pick someone up at the Newark airport. We didn't opt for the rodizio unfortunately because my friend couldn't eat meat that day. We ordered two appetizers and shared an entree. We got recommendations to get the barbecue strips (prior to knowing she can't eat meat) and the clams with white wine sauce. We got both (i wanted to try the BBQ strips). They were just alright. The BBQ strips is a bunch of meats and bacon wrapped chicken with yuca fries. I swear that's probably how they get rid of old meats. I was upset. The clams were small and did not taste fresh. For the entree, we shared the seafood paella. It came with half a steamed lobster which was good. But a pain to get out of it's shell. The rest of the paella was ok but it was a bit too salty for my taste. For dessert we got the flan and the papaya creme. The flan was good and really sweet. The papaya creme was different and had a funny taste to it. The best part of the meal was my drink. We ordered the mango caipirinha with Brazilian rum and it was amazing!!!
Apparently late at night they clear the tables and it becomes a dance club. You begin to see a lot of girls come in with right short dresses. Some large group also had a birthday party there though I wish it wasn't so close to my table. They brought their own balloons, cake pops, decorations. The whole nine yards.
Great for weekend lunch. Not as pricey as these places can get. Stick with the beef, they make a pretty decent fejuada. Pretty darn good rodizio.
I used to love this place but yesterday really turned me off. The waitress gave my homegirl the illest attitude for no reason when ordering the drinks. Then watched us for the whole entire time because two of us did not eat and the other two order the rodozios ( mind you I am a vegetarian). I am thinking she thought we was sharing. Then on top of that she rushed me to drink my caiprinhas. But the best part is we have to give her tip because it was included. Word of advice to that establisment! Hire better waitresses!!!! I will not recommend this place. This is ironbound…you can find better Brazilian restaurants within 200 feet!
Came here on a Sunday evening with 6 other people. They accommodated us nicely. The service is pretty great, friendly. There may be somewhat of a language barrier but just be patient, maybe learn how to say a few Portugese words like frango (chicken), bife (steak), or Coracao de galinha (chicken hearts) Or even Obrigado (thank you)….not gracias.
We started off with some Sangria, 1 pitcher of white, 1 pitcher of blue; the blue was tangier more bluey than I've experienced before. With the full rodizio menu you also get access to the awesome salad bar, clean and full of salads, fishes, breads, fruits, etc. BUT don't fill up on that.
MY favorite was a type of beef almost like a prime rib, that would be brought out in huge chunks, but only a few slices could be cut until it was very rare, they would bring it back in the kitchen, then come back with a new one…awesome. The pork loin is great, rich and juicy and the chicken hearts were pretty awesome, salty…
Overall great experience, the food is salty, but still very flavorful, not just salty. Would totally come back here!!
I love this place! i have been here 4 times now. This is some of the best Brazilian BBQ you're gonna find. I always get the Rodizio style in which they bring out so many meats!!! chicken wrapped in bacon, pork loin, flank steak, chicken hearts if your adventurous :), tons of steak and I PROMISE. you will be sooooo uncomfortably full. ITS ALL YOU CAN EAT
The sangria is fantastic! i know for the Rodizio buffet its like $23 a person which i promise you will get your monies worth. Great value and its awesome. Before i forget, after all the meat they bring you cinnamon covered pineapple that is mouth watering and they come with 43 liquor and pour it on the fruit for you. ITS SOO GOOD
This is a great family place, the waitresses are gorgeous, the restaurant is clean and all the servers are extremely diligent and always refilling waters and checking on everything. I have never had a bad experience and i have been here with parties of 5 all the way to 20 of us.
Overall if your looking for some new food or if your a fan of Brazilian BBQ definitely stop in here!
