Okay I normally would not give buffets a 4 star review but this place kinda deserves it. Ironbound Newark is filled with run of the mill places and lackluster Chinese restaurants. This place gives the neighborhood some hope at hibachi and Chinese. The place is super clean and huge! And the food was super fresh and had a great selection. They do to-gos so this will be my new place for lunch during work when I don't know what I feel like. Hibachi is a must try as the chicken on skewers. Will be back.
Good for a buffet, but not amazing. The seafood wasn't super fresh, especially the steamed crab, but they have a good selection of food and they even have hibachi and sushi. Definitely worth a try for seafood lovers. Great selection of desserts.
The food was just awful. How did it get all of these reviews?! I was definitely tricked by the outstanding number of reviews. I went in with an open mind; however it was a big disappointment. None of the food was fresh! Even the habachi especially the sushi. I felt like I was eating someone's left over from days ago. I had enough with buffets. You can pay $10 more and get a very satisfying, filling, fresh meal elsewhere. Just a warning.
Overall, this is a really good addition to the mostly Portuguese/Brazilian restaurants in the area. Bring on the diversity! The place is very new and probably fits close to 200 people (my guess).
They have the typical Chines buffet items, but they also have a small sushi area (which surprisingly is pretty good compared to other buffet places and even some sushi restaurants). My favorite is the hibachi station, where they cook the food in front of you.
Is it the best buffet I've been to? No. But when in the area I do not mind going there at all.
