“it's also fun to watch people drink blue cocktails out of a buddha belly, too, but the hot dog!”
“And the place itself is very cozy- dim lighting and old Chinese movies playing.”
“It's not going to blow your doors off, but if you want some asian fare in a cool and relaxed atmosphere, you can't really go wrong here.”

I really love this neighborhood joint! I will be the first to say it's not the absolute best food you can find in the area. The fact that the menu features Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes tells you that it's not necessarily focused on doing one thing perfectly. That being said, I've enjoyed almost everything I've ordered. The scallion pancake and bibimbop stand out in my mind as being particularly satisfying. I was less impressed the spicy yaki udon, which you can customize with your choice of meat… it wasn't quite Korean, Japanese, or Chinese, more of a generic 'Asian' dish that didn't stand out in my mind.
Beyond the food, it's one of my favorite places in the hood in terms of ambiance. It's dark and divey, with lots of kitschy Asian themed decor. I love the giant lion dancer head on the wall! They have lots of drink options including plenty of sake, yum!
Though it's by no means the latest hotspot in Williamsburg, that's kind of what I like about it. It has a cool without trying too hard vibe, and it's always a reliable go-to for a fun and tasty experience!
Place is so disgusting and they microwave all the food. This place is honestly for drunk people who have no where else to go. That would be the only way to tolerate the horrible menu. I just can't comprehend how this place exists in Williamsburg.
Great place! The owner is Chinese so I have no doubt about the authenticity of the dishes. I had the lychee saketinis, the tofu and celery salad and the shrimp buns. All of them were amazing except that the salad was a bit salty. Loved the slightly dark and intimate atmosphere there. And apparently they have quite a few patrons. Definitely coming back!
Great drinks and tasty snacks. Just come for late night. Great way to impress a date with a cool late night find and tasty food
I had wanted to come here for a while…was really disappointed. The ambiance was really unique and cool. So, A+ for that. The service was also good. But, the food……no Bueno! And expensive! We split a few dishes, including the pork belly bun, spicy dumplings w peanut sauce, bibimbap, and some kind of cold noodles. Everything tasted like it had been frozen. The dumplings legit tasted like Trader Joes dumplings from a bag. And the other dishes were really mediocre at best. We spent about $60 and left hungry because we didn't finish our food. (I always finish my food!) I will not be back 🙁 and both of us had stomach aches…..
Asian-style tapas? Sold. Everything on the menu sounds amazing, so make sure to go with at least one other person so you can share multiple small plates. I ordered the lychee soda (it tasted like lychee syrup mixed with seltzer), peanut wontons, pork belly buns, Chinese sausage pizza, and ground beef dan dan noodles. Skip the noodles and wontons, and make it a double order of the buns and pizza. They have a pretty extensive drink menu, though we opted to keep it dry. Drunk or sober, if you're craving a midnight Snacky, this place hits the spot.
Definitely a unique place. The decor is mostly Chinese inspired and the menu is a ton of Asian fusion small dishes. They play Chinese movies on their TV and have reasonably priced beers. Cool spot.
It smells so good in here of authentic Japanese food!
Decor is a fun mix of Japanese and Chinese elements, and lots of red. There was a subtitled martial arts flick playing on the tele when I was there. (TV is small + the volume was off so it was not distracting = I like!)
Dim lighting and small round tables make for an intimate atmosphere. Restroom is large (seems wheelchair accessible) and clean.
My hubba hubs & I ordered
_ SPICY CHICKEN WONTON ($5)
Small, sticky, tasty morsels.
_ GRILLED EEL RICE BOWL ($8.50)
Comes with cucumber, ginger and egg.
= satisfying!
The portion is good for a light meal,
or to have with an appetizer & dessert.
_ SPICY CHICKEN UDON ($10)
My mouth was feeling the spice after just
a few pieces broccoli rabe.
= The hubs enjoyed his dish!
Portion is filling, bigger than the above rice bowl.
Have and will return!
