  1. Great little locals type place in Chelsea. Make reservations for weekend brunch otherwise you will likely be SOL.

The spicy omelette is amazing. It's probably one of the best omelettes I've ever had. Full of flavor and great texture. The French toast is also delicious and not too sweet for a change. Chill vibe.

    Highly recommended.

  2. Come here if you're looking for a cute and cozy spot for brunch that has a bottomless drink special. Don't come here if you are looking for above average food.

Besides the actual meal, every aspect of my experience here was perfect.

    -They take reservations
-Our booth was spacious and comfy
    -An adorable rustic vibe
    -Strooooong mimosas
    -Unlimited mimosas
-Fair pricing, 32 dollars for bottomless drinks and an entree
    -Excellent service

Unfortunately, I wasn't very pleased with my meal. I went with a pretty classic breakfast burrito  that was stuffed with eggs, cheese and sausage and opted to have the home fries on the side. The eggs were super runny and watery, the cheese was clumpy and not evenly mixed in the burrito and the sausage was rubbery. Everything tasted and looked like a microwaveable breakfast, and it was not satisfying.

I know it's tough to find quality brunch at a bottomless spot, but after reading CK14's decent reviews I was hoping that this would be different. Although everything minus the breakfast burrito was great, I probably wouldn't come back again because of how unenjoyable my meal was.

  3. Ehhh. Wasn't blown away here. All that's really working in its favor is that the service was quite good, and the cute indoor area of the restaurant. Nice ambiance there, but the back patio area we were seated in was really cold and damp and not a great space for brunch on a cold day. $32 for bottomless brunch + entree is a good deal…if the food was better. It was nice to be given pitchers of bloody marys and mimosas so we didn't have to keep asking for drinks. But the food was just seriously underwhelming. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing…but I just wasn't blown away but most of what I saw. I didn't want an egg dish as I had something earlier with eggs that morning, so I opted for the salmon and asparagus cakes, essentially crab cake style with salmon and asparagus. They were seriously under seasoned, no really flavor at all. A super dense salmon patty with the asparagus really being quite non-existent. My boyfriends breakfast burrito was better, but to me, not so good that it warrants my coming back to this place. There are so many other brunch places with much better food and beverage combos. This place will remain a one and done for me.

Deal Seeking Diva tip: $32 bottomless drinks, mimosas and bloody marys for 2HRS + entree. While it's not too bad, you can go somewhere for something better.

  4. CK14 pros:
    – good bottomless brunch
    – really cute outdoor space – perfect for aforementioned bottomless brunch
    – decently priced cocktails

    CK14 cons:
    – the food is only okay – nothing here will blow your socks off (and I've been here a few times for brunch + dinner)

  5. Was in the area and needed a quick drink after work. After walking pass a few establishments at the block, we decided to walk into CK14. Sat by the bar with a drink in my hand, this cozy place gets busier as the sun sets. Staff are really nice and attentive. I had a great experience overall at CK14.

  6. Really enjoyed this place for dinner and would come back for brunch! I made reservations on OpenTable and luckily I did because this place got busy for dinner. Beer, wine, and well drinks were happy hour specials. Always a plus in NYC. I had the chicken pot pie, my girlfriend got the shepherds pie and we each enjoyed our meals. The pastry crust on mine was phenomenal! A great low-key catch-up spot.

  7. Was in the area after a dr visit and was a bit famished. Walked in and the decor was very eclectic.  We were greeted by the gentlemen behind the bar and asked if we would rather indoor or outdoor seating. We choose outdoor. Yesterday was such a beautiful day I was up for it. My only suggestion would be to have some sort of net to catch the objects that have the strength to fight against the wind. Last thing I would want in my meal is an unwanted ingredient.

A carafe of water was brought to the table for starters. I was uncertain what to drink so I overhead  (I was really ear hustling ) the server speak about the sangria to another party.  So I went with the sangria. It was ok. I'm not really a sangria kinda girl but it was tasty nonetheless.

For an appetizer we had the nachos. They were pretty good. Right amount of cheese smothered about, crunchy chips (I think they were pita). After gulping down my sangria I decided it was time to kick it up a notch (Emeril Lagasse reference) I decided to order a Margarita! At that point it was 5 o'clock on my watch…lol

My main course was the CK14 burger. It was very moist and flavorful. I didn't add any of that tomato product aka ketchup. It came with a side of coleslaw and fries. The fries were fresh, crunchy and lightly seasoned with sea salt. Delicious!!!  The burger I added some of the slaw to it and it took it to another place. I definitely think they should add a slaw burger of some sort.

I noticed many of the reviews are for brunch, I will consider coming back and giving it a shot.

  8. What a great deal for brunch.  For $35 you get all the pitchers of mimosas or bloody Mary's you want.  The servers were great and kept filling our classes.  The food was just as good.
