Me and my husband have been wanting to check this place out and
we thought what better day to do so then mothers day, we live really
close so we just took a walk there.
I have been living in Middle village my whole life and somehow always missed this place, moving on! Almost everything was gone ( I see why! )
The ladies in the back counter are all super sweet and they all asked if we
had been helped. We got a pineapple pastry or danish, 1 lb of a mixture of
the italian cookies and a little espresso cake.
The Pineapple Danish
Was amazing not too sweet and my husband loved it
good texture and delightfully fresh.
1lb of assorted Italian Cookies
Now the stars are those italian cookies, Italian cookies tend to be a little dry. These
were just moist and soft enough the rainbow cookies oh my god, I wish I had gotten more all the cookies were so good. I really have no complaints my mother
loved them and she is a hard woman to please!
The Espresso Cake
Wow, I am super impressed I was not expecting it to be this good. The layers of
flavours and textures are amazing not too sweet and just enough espresso flavour I will definitely be paying more attention to there pastries and little cakes next time.
I give this place 5 stars because It is at close distance and is a cut above the rest flavour wise as far as I am concerned and the prices are amazing!
Stop by Panepinto and see for yourself, I am positive you wont regret it.
I've been wanting to try this bakery for a while, but usually couldn't because it was too late when we're in the area. I really needed to custom order a cake for my friend's bday next month, and I know this place does that. So I definitely had to try their cakes. Very nice bakery. I was immediately drawn to these nice green color cookies thinking they have to be pistachio, which I never say no to. Indeed they were. Then I checked out the cakes. They have a variety of mousse, cheesecakes mostly. I got the red velvet and oreo cheesecake. Also got 2 of each variety of cookies to try: pistachio, pignoli, rainbow, and chocolate covered macaroons.
Out of the cookies the pistachio and macaroons were the best. The rainbow and pignoli were ok. The red velvet had a lot more cream cheese than cake. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a cheesecake. It was ok. Oreo cheesecake was really good. It was light. Will definitely come back to try more stuff.
This is the new incarnation of the old Panardo Bakery. They rented one of the other store spaces when the old place closed down and expanded. The orientation switched from the counter being parallel to the door to perpendicular, and the kitchen is now a large separate room. They now have space for several small tables.
The food quality is as good as it was before. The sandwiches and hot food are still there. What has expanded is the baked products display, and these are as good as ever. My personal favorite is the Oreo Cheesecake which is rich and awesome. His other cakes are just as good.
I have to say, I really like this café/bakery! Everything is made fresh on site and this is both a good and bad thing! It's good because everything is fresh; it's bad because they make very few of each item so you have to get there early or there won't be any left (especially croissants). The prices are very good and the quality and taste of the items are wonderful. My favorite things to get are the chocolate cannolis and nutella cake. I often get a bacon, egg and cheese croissant (if available), which is very good but is a bit more salty then necessary. They make soups, chili and sandwiches as well. They make coffee, cappuccinos and tea. There are tables inside for eating in and, of course, you can take out whatever you'd like. I'd say the prices are decent and they always wrap whatever you take out in a fancy little box, which is nice as it shows a bit of pride in the business!
