  1. Huge portions (about 3 meals worth for a "medium" sized platter costing $9). Lackluster ambience (Law & Order was playing loudly inside the barebones location). Slow service, cash only.

How's the food? It's solid if you're into Jamaican food, but it's very heavy. A few bites into my jerk chicken and I was already feeling worn down by the amount of spice.

  2. Though I've heard rave reviews about this place, the food here is just okay. The prices are relatively good and the restaurant is a nice size. On my way out, I noticed that there were um vehicle tires stacked near the window…how appetizing?

  3. My favorite Jamaicn takeout place in all of Brooklyn, and there's lots of competition. To start out with- the oxtails will change your life. Served with rice and peas, vegetables and plantains, you're certain to be full even if you ordered a small. This place has tables if you decided to stay in and they always have music or a  few flat screen televisions on to make that experience comfortable. This is not a fancy place, so if you're looking for that type of place, pass this by, but if you want a good meal stop in. I usually order and take my food to go. There was a point when I'd nicknamed Fridays to "oxtail Fridays" because I was so hooked. Yum! So I've been raving about the oxtails and you may ask, " is that all they serve"? Rest assured, there's more where that came from.  I've known people to order lot of things from here and to be completely satisfied. This place has a good following and doesn't open on Sundays.  Hmmm. Is it Friday yet?
