  1. This deli is so good! Meat is fresh.

For dinner we ordered a Italian sub, Ruben sandwich and chicken finger platter.

The Italian sandwich was delicious.  We tried to order a whole, but they ran out of the whole bread and only had half left.  🙁  the meat is filling and so good

The ruben sandwich is really really good. Cheese, meat and dressing.. Just sad that it was small and it ended very fast 🙁

Chicken finger platter is huge.  3 big chicken peices and lots of fries.

I always order here.. It gets busy that they can't pick up the phone, or they close early. 🙁  those are the only sad parts.

  2. Was really happy to come by this place. Tried out several sandwiches over 2 visits, to include the pastrami ( amazing!), a chicken with potabella mushroom sandwich, and another italian sandwich—  I really like the pastrami, it was thinly sliced, and it came out COLD ( yes, cooked), which is rare these days. Very tasty.

All were amazing. Note– if you get the whole sub, its enough food to feed at least 3 people! There was a very nice lady who greeted me the 2nd time ( I think one of the owners), she couldnt been sweeter. I recommend this place!

  3. Get your sammich right here!

I've been fortunate to have been in need of a quick bite on the go and thanks to trusted yelper Amanda's C's banner vote of approval I'm sold. Having devoured several sub's on a few occasions I can give my stomach & wallets endorsement. I don't think anything is over $10 so they're priced well.

A hometown deli with all your basic sammich essentials and then some. Specialty items such as pre baked dishes, salads, soups and a sizeable chip selection. The " NewYorker" which is Pastrami & Corn beef ( ask for it hot), Swiss, coleslaw, Russian dressing on rye is my favorite, but shhh don't tell that to my cholesterol.

A bunch of small tables to dine in. A flat screen to help pass the time as you munch away or sip a fresh brewed coffee. Friendly attentive service, clean and open all day. I'm a fan.

  4. We order catering for my job from this place about 2 times a week every other week or so. The delivery guy is always very pleasant and offers a kind word. We get assorted deli sandwiches and their red potato salad the first day, and assorted deli sandwiches and their tortellini salad the second day. Their food is always fresh and delicious. The deli meats are delicious, their cheese is so tasty, and their egg salad is the best.

I had a bbq this summer, and ordered their tortellini salad and potato salad as my sides for the bbq – everyone said it's the best potato salad they've ever had. It's also packed during lunch hours every day – all the local people go here for their lunches. Such a great place.

  5. Solid, cheap breakfast on a Saturday morning drive from NYC to Philadelphia.

For just over $5 I had the special which was a bacon and cheddar omelette, home fries, wheat toast and a coffee. Pretty standard in terms of quality, but large quantity so the price was right.

Coffee is self-serve and wasn't ready yet. Once made it was very hot (which is good) except it didn't have those little sleeves to keep you from burning your hand (which was bad). Really my only suggestion to change this place.

  6. Roosevelt's is like the dive bar of delis.  You walk in and feel like you're at home.  Nothing served is presumptuous, but it's delicious and completely satisfies whatever you're looking for.  Breakfast egg sandwich with gooey melting cheese?  Yes, I can personally attest they execute this staple well.  Giant carb-licious muffins?  Score.  Lunch sandwiches?  Done.  Salads, soups, even grilled veggies and a few other ready-to-go salads in the display case?  Yup.

Service is quick and super friendly.  Prices are low… really low.  Though nothing feels cheap or skimpy.  Everyone who comes here seems to be a regular from the guys in suits, to the neighborhood ladies, and law enforcement who stop in.  Rest assured, they're nice to new-comers like you and me as well.

Like a good old school deli, there are a number of tables to give refuge to those unable to stand until their dose of caffeine takes effect.  Or if you're like me, to enjoy that egg sandwich and melty cheese while it's still hot.
