Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken
“I got the tenders and fries and was satisfied for the rest of the day.”
“Also they've got Boylan's soda on tap which is more money than usual pepsi/coke but definitely worth it.”
“While everything is fast food style, the price point is higher than a Popeyes or KFC, so manage those expectations.”

Bleh! Went against my better judgement and tried this place as I read about their "amazing" seasoning in an article. Ordered a chicken sandwich and fries to try this super special secret seasoning. Color me disappointed. Nothing special at all. Just another fast food chicken place. Move along people, nothing to see here.
I loved my food here….the tater tots were all so crispy and delicious. They were the reason why i cam here and they didn't disappoint.
My Chix sandwich i got with bbq sauce and cheese was good as well. I disnt taste too much bacon on it though. Didnt know if i was losing it there for a second.
The only complaint and reason for 4 out of 5 stars is bc of the price of the menu items….very expensive for "fast food" in my opinion.
This is a great place to eat if you like fried chicken. Blue ribbon has a pretty sweet selection of sauces that range from honey wasabi to habanero. I ordered "the pit" sandwich which included bacon, cheddar, and bbq sauce. I'll pass on the shoe string fries next time and will try the sweet potato fries instead. Overall we had a good dining experience. There wasn't a line and there plenty of seating available as well!
I've been hearing my coworker talk about this place since last winter. However, it didn't live up to the hype. I got a chicken sandwich and the chicken is absolutely tasteless. Very disappointing. The batter looked red and you would think it would have good flavor, but it's just coloring. The chicken was also dry. I could get much better chicken sandwich from Shake Shack for less money. I will be avoiding this place!
Props to this place for being open so late! If you're a sucker for fried foods, then Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is a great spot to hit up at any given time. The menu can seem overwhelming when you walk in for the first time, but looking at the food from afar, you know you made the right choice coming in. Everything is pretty self explanatory, and the service staff will help you with any questions you might have with your order.
Everything we ordered tasted amazing (given we were extremely hungry after a night of clubbing). From the tater tots, fried chicken, and specialty chicken sandwiches… we were extremely satisfied with what we ordered.
It's a bit pricey for what I would consider fast food, so if you're looking to save a few bucks, it would be tough to do it here because the bill can run you up just for a few pieces of chicken and a sandwich. Other than that, I had absolutely no complaints!
The food was good, but it wasn't grrrrreat. Yes, the chicken was fried well and it was juicy inside. The fries were thin and crispy, and they had interesting sauces. It was a good meal, but I don't think it justifies the price tag.
On the plus side – the space is huge and there's a lot of seating. They do have their sauces on each table with posters of explanations of the sauces. I also like the wipes they have for when you're done with your meal.
Solid fried chicken sandwich. Clean. Delicious lettuce tomato sauce bread. Didn't even want any of the sauces. The perfect size too.
Let's get to the main point: Chicken taste great! No argument there, they nailed this part.
The location is good, always clean and relatively quick. They let me down on two fronts. First, the sides…. those sorry excuses for french fries that come with my chicken. I'm basically If they would improve those fries to something like the ones at shake shack then maybe, they could justify the price. That brings me to my second point, price. $10 for chicken? You are one step above KFC and are charging that? Uncalled for.
Bottom line: clean, quick and good chicken.. but the rest of the menu doesn't justify what you pay for a meal here.
