  1. Your usual 2AM go-to-drunk diners that serve decent quantity and less quality (everything tastes better woozy).

I've had a burger here after a party and I even saw the burger not well-cooked as requested nor were the veggies fresh, however it was still good.
Their sweet potato fries are actually probably their specialty in my opinion. The pricing is relatively fair and their staff is kind and welcoming.

Cleanliness is kind of iffy, but they try to stay modern after being up in business for quite sometime!

I'd actually go back ONLY after a few drinks and during late hours since it is one of the only 24hour joints near my area!

  2. Dinner is clean and looks the part.  Staff are pretty disengaged, I had to chase our waiter on more than one occasion.

Food, well what I had was diabolical.  I ordered the North Eastern Wrap (slices of beef with BBQ sauce).  The meat was absolutely CREMATED and the wrap covering was dry as cardboard – I would guess a microwave is being heavily used.  My buddy ordered the Rueben, which to me looked as though it had seen better days.  Food looks like the kitchen staff are either clueless or have given up caring what they turn out.

Very poor and wont be back.

  3. The whole wheat pancakes were extremely dry. I couldn't even finish one (out of three), even with butter and syrup. The fresh strawberries on top were very bitter. The eggs Benedict look like someone threw up yellow chunky hollandaise on it. The weird part is that the poached eggs look completely deflated.  I don't get how they could serve something that looked like that. I wish I took a picture.  I would not go back.

The extra star is only because our waitress was super nice. Part of me wishes I had said something but I didn't want to be there much longer.

  4. I've eaten weekend breakfast here twice, and have never had to wait for a table. Once I had the bagel and lox, and the bagel was well cream-cheesed, but the lox was a little questionable with quite a few brown spots and otherwise frightening areas.

This last time, I ordered the monte cristo, and it wasn't what I expected at all. The sandwich came on two open-faced pieces of french toast, with a ton of meat and cheese, but no grape jelly or other things I've had on a MC before. The home fries were also more like hash-browny things and not tiny fries/potatoes like I've experienced– at least in DC and the South.

The food wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good. The service here is pretty sparse. You get your drink, probably not a refill, and ask for the check without being offered it. Just not impressed.

  5. Not bad.  Good service with decent food.
. Got the wings app for $8.You get 6 large wings that are pretty good. They come very crispy like fried chicken so they aren't your traditional wings. Flavor tastes mostly like fried wing with only a hint of Buffalo sauce.

Got the gyro sandwich for $6. Good size sandwich with pretty nice flavor. Does not come with sides though.

All in all pretty average meal.
The nice thing is this place does free delivery with $10 credit card min.

  6. Good stuff. Diner food, A rating. Nice variety with some little tweaks here and there. I'm drunk it's 3 am petes grill, I just woke up, want a waffle sundae. Petes grill. Just work well on so many levels

  7. ***Delivery review*****

Ok,so sometimes things take an unexpected turn and you end up ordering delivery and watching Ted 2 on vacation. Believe me this was not by choice……but due to someone having a severe illness all day, dinner plans at Zum Stammish (next time!) were cancelled, and I was left to my own devices in my hotel room. The front desk gave me several menus, and I chose Petes Grill, mostly because it was free delivery, no minimum delivery,  and had online ordering. I went with a gyro platter for $13 that included the gyro, a large salad, and fries. I subbed onion rings for no extra charge. Other options were waffle fries, sweet potato fries, or regular. I had skipped lunch and was super hungry, so I was disappointed the onion rings were inedible-super soggy and, just, yuck. I threw them away after one bite. The salad was actually quite nice and wasn't mentioned in the description of the platter so it was a nice surprise. Lots of mixed greens (not just ice berg), onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, kalamata olives, and a boatload of feta. Balsamic was on the side. I appreciate the amount of feta, which I added to my gyro. The pita was a bit soggy-probably from being in the same container as the onion rings which should never, ever happen- and the meat was incredibly basic frozen-like gyro meat (should have gotten the chicken version). The driver was quicker than expected, which was appreciated. Maybe I ordered wrong and should've gone with a basic sandwich, but I didn't have a microwave so that's why I didn't order something hot or that would need reheated (or Indian like I really wanted). This was ok for what I needed it for and that's why I'm giving 3 stars.

  8. "Great spot!"

    "Irish breakfast is Shit!"

Those were the reviews scribbled on this place's ad in the hotel binder. It was late, and Pete's was walking distance away from my hotel, so why not check this place out, right?

My verdict: The food is par for the course for your typical 24-hour diner place. The service, however, is garbage. The server my ladyfriend and I had spent more time chatting up a table of flirty ladies than he did anything else. He'd walk by our table several times while we had empty water glasses, or even with out check and card on the table ready to go before he would actually do what he needed to do.

So…three stars it is. Okay food, unimpressive service. I'd go back, I guess, if I were in the area late at night.
