  1. I went to Gracie Mews Diner for breakfast and came out happy!

First off, I went on a rainy Saturday morning and although it was a bit crowded – it didn't even bother me, the whole place feels very homey which was perfect. Also, the waiters/waitresses were very attentive! We were greeted and seated almost immediately which was surprising considering the amount of people there were.

    What I ordered:
    1. Egg white & cheese on multi-grain bread (toasted) — DELICIOUS!
    2. Fat free Greek yogurt with granola, strawberries, & blueberries — SO GOOD and a big portion!

    Overall:
I really enjoyed the food + loved the atmosphere!

  2. Best quality diner and diner food I've ever had.

    My favorite diner for brunch.

Service is fantastic and while it can get crowded weekend brunches, but food is so fresh- western omelette, fruit salad and eggs Benedict being my fave dishes. They have fresh squeezed orange juice with a cool juice squeezing machine and also great coffee and cappuccino .

They also have inside and outside seating.

  3. Stopped by for late lunch / breakfast on a lazy Sunday around 2 and the place was packed!! There's not much room to stand while waiting for a table and the man seating parties was a bit disheveled. He promised everyone waiting that it would only be a 2 min wait, then proceeded to seat those who came in after us first. We finally got to our table and had a server who seemed scattered as well…

Food was decent. Your standard diner fare. No fountain sodas which was a bit disappointing but I enjoyed my Greek salad. Their desserts looked impressive – I will have to try some next time!

  4. I like diners for a quick late-night snack, and this place is great! I liked their matzo ball soup and Greek salad and fries. Laid back UES scene. Good service.

  5. Slow slow slow
    Very local experience, that's nice.
Coffee refill only when ask, same with water.
    Didn't clear tables

a passable place for locals to eat and chat. Charming in that Cheers way.

  6. Solid 3. Really nothing standout, but nothing bad either. I came here as I've gone by this place many times and it's always full. I got a special, nutella and banana challah french toast. It was pretty darn good. Our service was good and quick. I was happy enough with my first experience that I came back for breakfast the following week. I had an omelette that time and that was really good too. Overall, I'd recommend this if you're looking for pretty standard diner fare. I'd say the prices are about $2-3 higher than I'd expect. It's not that cheap. Just a good choice for the hood that's fast and consistent.

  7. To Steven K of Gracie Mews, don't know why but I can't respond to you directly so here's a new post. Two questions:

Thought I knew everyone at Gracie Mews but don't recognize you. Who are you??

Secondly, appears you don't genuflect to why — Yelp won't allow a response to your comment. So it goes…

If my writing is still reaching you, I'll answer your Q's. How could GM improve?

    1) Ever eat / see your bacon?

    2) You guys ever meet a good French fry?

    3) $18 for a bagel and lox when H & H is a block away??

    4) Ever try getting a second cup of coffee in your own restaurant?

    5) Ever have really good gourmet coffee? (At your prices / quality level, that's what you should be serving)

I was at GM 5 times in July so far. Paid happily each time. The last time was this morning with my boyfriend in one of the booths closer to 80th street.

    Hope this helps for starters.

    A fan,
    Diane

  8. Great diner for kids and families! They are always welcoming and accommodating to strollers. Service is great and so is the food. Its simple diner food, omletes, salads, sandwiches ect. The only thing i wish they had is a kids menu.
