WARNING! Don't expect to be entertained by the employees.  Just find what you think you might like and order it.  They've got a huge menu from specials to a "Build Your Own" option.  But when we asked for recommendations, the guy just pointed towards the menu and then gave us the menu card for the "Build Your Own" option.  Ugh, I know where the menus are guy, what do YOU like?

Sheesh…  And when we walked into their "Retail/Sneaker" section, the employee inside waved us out, which is fine.

I get it, you don't want the merchandise to be ruined.  But he did it as if he didn't know they had a freakin' Soft-Served section of their store…

    Anyway..

The cereal milk soft served is great and I love the idea of throwing in your favorite cereals into the machine creating a speckles in the soft served and it worked!  We got the vanilla soft served with the fruity pebbles mixed in.

I mean, I did enjoy the product, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.  Even if I did, I probably wouldn't want to talk to anyone, maybe I'll just point at the things that I wanted.
    Ridiculous.

  2. I always knew Kith had a small ice cream/cereal section but never got a chance to stop by until today.  I didn't have a high expectation coming in so my ice cream turned out to taste REAL GOOD!

For a price of $5.50, I got the ice cream swirl with fruity pebbles and lucky charms marshmallow.  You can see the employee swirling them all together with a machine – it's pretty cool!  The taste was ON POINT!  I can confidently say that this is on the same level as Momofuku!  There was still a bit of the fruity pebble crunch within the ice cream!

My boyfriend got The Don – which comes with two small packages of captain crunch cereal, a small package of coconut flakes and a glass of almond milk in a Kith box.  This was $6.00.

Overall, this was definitely a super cute idea!!  I think it's worth the money compared to other "desserts" spot I tried.  I will come back next time to try other flavors!

  3. KITH Treats is located on the side of the KITH store behind the Barclays Center. I dropped by after browsing the store and boy oh boy was I in for a treat (hehe). The girls behind the counter were super friendly and attentive. I ended up getting the Fruit Loops soft serve with crushed Oreos on top. Phenomenal. Like insanely flavorful. Not too pricey either considering the quality and quantity.

This place is a must if you're a sneakerhead with a sweet tooth.

  4. I didn't expect so much from an ice cream shop owned by clothing shop owner. I thought this was another hype created by hype beasts. But damn…it was DELICIOUS. My goodness, just thinking about it makes me wanna drive back to brooklyn. I forgot which one I got, but i got the one with oreos in it. I love how every bite you can taste all your favorite breakfast items. It's super savory and crunchy. I highly recommend stopping by kith treats if you are in the area! I don't get why it's 3 $s because they give you sooo much for what you pay for.

  5. Cereal milk ice cream that isn't Momofuku? Sign me up. I am all for it.
    (I still love Momofuku though)

Such a simple concept, but so good – it's soft serve ice cream with some cereal and a topping mixed in. What I love is that there are so many combinations that you can come up with. For example, a fruity pebbles soft serve with kit kats would taste totally different compared to cookie crisp soft serve. At $5.50, it does seem to be more on the expensive side, but they have a large serving size. I also really liked the texture of it – is that weird? Since the cereal is mixed in, it doesn't have the smoothness that you'd expect from a soft serve.

Only negative – the service. I get that ice cream isn't their main thing. But if you're going to be serving ice cream all day, at least try to look a little enthused about what you're doing. We asked for a recommendation and he literally pointed to the menu and said that that is what they have. What?

  6. KITH ice cream is probably one of the best soft serves you can ever get. This unique idea definitely trumps Momofuku's cereal milk soft serve in terms of value and taste. I love that you can customize your ice cream with whatever cereal and topping you like (Twix, Kit Kat, Snickers, cheesecake bits, brownie bits, toffee, etc.). Cereal is such an underrated food once you're older so it's really nice that KITH reminds us of our childhood classics and gets creative with it. Their ice cream is much better than just regular toppings on a basic vanilla swirl because you can make a different flavor every time. Plus, it's $5.50 for a pretty generous portion, especially compared to Momofuku or other ice cream spots. I shared one with my boyfriend and it was more than enough to satisfy both of our ice cream cravings. They also sell milk and cereal kits in shoeboxes — spot on packaging and design. I personally wouldn't pay over $5 for cereal I can also get at a supermarket but it does seem like a pretty original idea that I'm sure many people love. All in all, great spot in a clothing/shoe store. Go check it out if you're ever in Brooklyn!

  7. Kith Treats is Ronnie Fieg's brain child inside his sneaker boutique Kith. The sneaker shop design is super clean and modern. I'm a sneaker head so I love it. The white Air Jordan 2 molds hanging from the ceiling is a cool design element by Snarkitecture. The treat shop is a cool addition inside the shop and I really like the simplicity of the space with the white subway tiles. Kith Treats is a cereal bar… The first of its kind! They offer vanilla ice cream mixed with your favorite childhood cereals and candy to create your very own combination. It's a cool concept and it gives the customer the ability to be creative with their concoction. I'm a fan!

  8. Meh.

So, the whole ice cream with mix-ins deal really appealed to me because it reminded me of a soft-serve place we used to have back in my hometown where we could get frozen fruit mix-ins for a really refreshing, completely customized frozen dessert. That was the extent of my fascination with this place. Otherwise, I think it is totally and unnecessarily overhyped on social media.

I chose the fruity pebbles cereal mix in and the snickers bar toppings and I thought the combination went together really well. Everything was thoroughly mixed and the end product looked – in the best way possible – like unicorn poop. I bet unicorn poop tastes at least as delicious as my soft serve did! Unfortunately, there are no options for frozen fruit toppings, but given the concept of the store, it's understandable.

The whole set up of the place is odd, tbh. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to eat my dessert standing at the counter, or if I could walk into the adjacent store, or if I could sit in the alcoves, or if I should just leave. This lack of seating and standing room really didn't make for a great experience, but if you are in the area and just want to pop by for a dessert to eat while walking, then this might be a good option for you.
