It's a pretty ok diner. I went in once for just a chicken soup and tried to pay with credit card and the guy was SO PISSED. I bought a piece of pie to meet the credit card minimum, but he was so old school he still treated me like a spoiled millennial/shady criminal for not paying cash.
Diner used to be my favorite go to place back in the days, they have lost quality AND quantity of food as well as service 🙁
Its sad to see this spot lose reputation as time goes by, looks like they have gone thru several re-staffing.
Always came here for a good breakfast meal with a hot coffee!
Their burgers were always so good but now seem it's just made half-assed
I'd still come here because its local, but wouldnt recommend it for someone looking to explore new diners! Sorry
Im not a hater I swear! Just saving you money (:
I stop over here after an all nighter for some breakfast; the place was very nicely decorated easy on the eyes and a friendly staff. Instead of ordering breakfast I ordered a Classic burger deluxe with a over easy egg inbetween, what can I say I was very pleasantly surprised the burger was cooked perfectly and full of flavors I will defiantly stop by again.
Foxy's is ok. I got the much suggested Irish Chipotle breakfast and it was basically an eggs benedict. I'm not sure what Irish Bacon is but it mostly resembled ham. I was expecting… more. It wasn't much except an eggs beny on a fried tortilla shell.
The execution was pretty good though and this is just your typical, nice diner. All kinds of diner food, and some smoothies and etc. is what you'll find here. Nothing great, but I can't say anything was bad either. Just a good place to eat!
Came to Foxy's for Brunch, which was real happenin'!
We were greeted with smiles and seated promptly.
Their brunch menu is pretty decent. I went with the Chorizo bowl which is a chorizo omelette served on black beans in a bread bowl (carved out of a regular deli roll. Pretty tasty!
Also ordered was the steak & eggs (overcooked) and the spinach pie served with poached eggs (overcooked, yolk was solid). Honestly, despite the overcooked food, we all agreed that the food was tasty and service was very attentive.
Great for the price, decent location too.
For some reason, I found myself wandering Sunnyside for an afternoon coffee time with a friend. It was nice to bump into this place, since it had seats and dessert. My friend ended up with a yogurt and chocolate milk concoction called something with the word monkey in it. I eyed a lot of desserts on their menu. Being that I just arrived from having lunch at TakeSushi, I decided to just stick to a beverage. I thought the waiter was friendly and helpful. I feel like the restaurant had a good vibe. I would come back to try some dishes of food next time.
Foxy Diner is conveniently located on Queens Blvd. next to the funeral home and Molly Blooms between 43rd and 44th St, (NOT 45th and 46th) and a great alternative to New Post Coffee Shop (when closed) a couple blocks down on 40th St. Quality breakfast and quality service for a reasonable price.
I ordered the Western omelette with onion, peppers, and ham, which came with a side of 2 toasts, and home fries. The highlight was the home fries- hearty, slightly burnt and crispy, and adequately filling. I wanted to ask for a whole plate of home fries and 5 orders of home fries to-go. WHAT DID THE FOX SAY! Home fries.
Foxy's is where you can enjoy a simple American breakfast. Don't leave without trying the home fries.
I have never stepped foot into this establishment but I've ordered via Seamless on several occasions and so far they have been decent and consistent. I really enjoy their Chicken Caesar Wrap. I mean it's a pretty standard wrap but for "diner" quality, it quite exceeded my expectation. I also tried their BBQ chicken wings, which were quite expensive (12 wings for $12.95), but not too shabby at all. Even though they say it takes 30-45 mins for delivery, they always deliver within 20 mins or less.
