I love this place! There's plenty of seating and sockets along with free wifi.
As for the service, everyone is super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the salmon burger which came with salad and a delicious tzatziki sauce. One of the guys working there asked me how it was, and overall I just felt like they cared unlike some places that just hand you the food over the counter and don't acknowledge you ever again.
The burger itself was delicious, and went great with the sauce. The salad was good, too. I really want to return to try one of their smoothies!
Before taking the number 6, I'd stop in and get my iced-americano and away we go. I also get the bacon egg and cheese croissant which will make you throw rocks at your grandmother. The place is small but nicely laid out and it isn't obnoxiously crowded like everything else is. You can actually relax here and talk to the boys.
Nice staff and cozy space with free wifi, not sure if it's a sit-down place, but I really just went in to order at the cashier and then sat down. The coffee is borderline really burnt and not tasty. Feel bad to say that because they're so nice. I asked for a cup of water with my latte and it was the tiniest cup – probably not wanting me to stay long without ordering food haha. Not sure, but I saw someone else have a cup of water that was a huge cup! I probably won't come back because of the ehhhh flavored espresso….
This little cafe is what I had in mind when looking for the "New York style" cafe and I'm so glad I found this on my last day in UES (thanks to my fellow yelpers). Loved the atmosphere and the laid back attitude of this shop. The staff wasn't too friendly but very helpful with suggestions. They accommodated my request on their mocha (since I don't like too sweet of a drink). We had their almond croissant and raisin danish for breakfast and that was the best almond croissant I have had in a long time. Something about their croissant that is so moist yet crunchy. The danish was quiet enjoyable as well. I don't remember how much we paid for our breakfast and it was definitely worth however much it was.
Mt favorite go to spot for breakfast. Omletes are perfect also love the fresh borekas. I can sit here all day
Nice vibe, had chamomile tea one evening, lady behind the counter was really nice. There were very persistent little insects buzzing around our heads the entire time, though, and I got a weird bug bite on my foot, so that part was not super fun.
This is the perfect spot to have breakfast, lunch or a coffee date. The whole family were running around the city and while we waited for my husband, my son and I stopped in for some brekkie. Based on the Yelp ratings, I had a good feeling about the place, plus the food pics were appetizing.
It's a cozy café but they made use of every corner to allow for ample seating; it's way bigger than it looks upon entry. We chose a sunny table at the front entrance and the employee taking care of the counter did double duty and came to get our orders. They have a large tea selection that I couldn't choose from, so I went with the fresh squeezed red grapefruit juice. My son had one of their Tropical smoothies, made with coconut water.
We both ordered the Nuotatore Sandwich, which had a little cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomatoes and spring greens. It was served with a small, lightly dressed salad and was really good. It was just enough food to satisfy us while in the city but I wish we would've ordered one of those sandwiches and a quiche so we could've had the opportunity to try a couple of items. Hindsight is 20/20.
They have a small menu and food is prepared well and if ever in the area again, I would definitely have to stop in.
Simple, no frills cafe for a quick coffee or light snack. They have the basics, but it's definitely less than average as far as NYC cafes go. The decor and furniture are dated, and insect traps in the dining area were not very well hidden. The menu is lacking (read: minimal meat options) and pretty pricey for what it is. My friend had a cheese omelet, which was literally just egg and cheese, and I had a quiche, which was decent. Iced coffees were average.
I would say that I would only come back here if I find myself in a pinch, but even then, there's a Pick-A-Bagel and a Le Pain Quotidien just up the block, so yeah….
