  1. This place is super solid and the peeps inside know how to pull a proper shot. The iced latte is fantastic and the coffee is far and above some of the best in the area. Check in after four for half off pastries from the morning and don't forget to try the horchata or fresh lemonade.

    Definitely recommend.

  2. I'm a really big fan of Otha's.

Their maple latte is really delicious. Their doughnuts are literal perfection and the staff is outrageously friendly in a really genuine way. You can't ask more from a coffee shop directly outside of the subway station.

  3. I love this little coffee shop. It's hidden and close to Marcy Ave. stop. I went in yesterday and it was such a lovely experience. People were waiting in line for their coffee. I let people know I just wanted to sneak up and check out the treats. Once, I saw something that caught my eye. I waited in line.

They had cool art show up, comic book style. It looks like the painted the walls and have a nice menu up that I didn't see before. When I got to the front the guy working was real nice. And he explained all the cookie flavors. It was easy once, the espresso, chocolate chip cookie with sea salt was mentioned. Highly recommended.

Can't wait to try the grub next time. This is the kind of business I love to support! Those home away from homes.

  4. Life before Otha's was hard. I had to hoof it to Gimme on Lorimer for a cawfee. I found a place nearby that did an awesome cafe con leche with three sugars for 75c . . . I got a nespresso machine and hated it. THIS WENT ON FOR YEARS.

Enter Otha's. Where the cappuccino has three shots (I think) and leaves the cup black with coffee swill after. You can read your fortune. Another fave is the cortado – perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up before the train.

The place is tiny, and excellent staffers make for good vibes if you decide stay. Sometimes I do. You'll see your neighbors and hear your train go by, again, and again. Reality calls. Will you answer?

  5. I often go to coffee shops to try their ice teas and what I found is that most places fall short on prep and flavor. Not here the tea taste perfect and the barista adds a mint leaf with a slice of lemon. Well I don't have anything negative to report about this little gem of a shop. I have visited this location 4 times and have found it to be
    1. Clean
    2. Friendly
    3. Quick and painless service with a smile
    4. Great coffee brew
    5. Great selection of snacks

I have sampled their breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts from dough and their bagels which are always fresh. What I'm dying to sample is their lunch snacks, I'll need to take a day off from work one day.

    My Recommendations are:
    1. Black bear
    2. Green tea ice tea
    3. The Latte
