This place is awesome. The chicken is delicious, crispy, and perfectly cooked. Did I mention it's super cheap? I always feel sketchy going here, but if you can overcome the feeling then it's worth the visit.
Best fried chicken spot in Jersey City, and in the words of the great Rick Ross, "You ain't even kno it". It's tucked away in one of Jersey City's many "up and coming" neighborhoods (i.e. the type that many will lock their doors and run red lights while driving through at night). It's a shame because like many places in JC, the neighborhood is gritty but you won't be subject to random acts of violence (I think). Ok maybe the 3" bulletproof plexiglass guarding the cashiers might tell you otherwise. But still, it's worth a trip out here!
The chicken is delicious and super cheap, and the hot sauce packets they give out are phenomenal. There's a constant flux of customers coming in and out so they always have chicken ready for your consumption. I've always been meaning to try something else here, but damn the chicken is so good that I always wind up going for that.
For the JC trifecta, start here for dinner, head over to Ringside Lounge and have some drinks there, and finish off the night with a late night snack at White Mana. So JC it hurts.
Better known for having the Soprano's shoot a scene here (episode 'The Fleshy Part of the Thigh') the place can be scary, even though a police station is steps away. Food is 'meh' at best.
Never go wrong with crowns fried chicken…..limited off street parking…good to get a quick meal to go….with the little mash potatoe cups n box of chicken..the location is in a bad neighborhood…but hello,..its a place to eat for a great price..quality and quantity…
