The worst Chipotle ever!!! This place has gotten worse over the years. You enter the line and the staff are yelling BROWN or WHITE or BLACK or PINTO. It feels like a crazy factory assembly line. If you have food allergies (diary) or are vegan, this location might not be the best choice. Twice I've witnessed staff drop cheese shreds in the salsa and guacamole. Not to mention they touch the shredded cheese the touch your burrito.
If Chipotle wants to appeal to the plant-based/veggie crowd, they need to do a better job with cross contamination of non-veggie items in the veggies!
Chipotle is one of my favorite Mexican grill places & they are popping up all over NYC. But the service is disappointing. When I visit any Chipotle, I already know that there will be a 50/50 chance that when I ask for an additional scoop of rice to my "anorexic" fajita bowl, I will get an attitude from the person handling my order, usually female. I will hear them suck their teeth & watch them roll their eyes as they scoop the rice onto the bowl as if they were the ones paying for my food or for the production of the rice made at this establishment.
But at this location, I got a different reaction. The gentleman who took my order smiled & said "Sure, no problem" when I asked for more rice. I was in shock! And not just with me but with other people on the line. This made my experience much better & now there is hope for me to enjoy a decent fajita bowl.
I would have given this location 5 stars but the upkeep of the condiment bar was messy & the trash was overflowing.
This review is for the server who was flirting with me. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey ;D
I don't swing that way but I do like to be liked, so keep up the good work and maybe, just maybe, I'll tip.
I doubt it though.
I have finally joined the Chipotle bandwagon! I still feel its pretty commercial but their salsas are dynamite!
This location is near my office so I only visit in the afternoon hours. At times the line runs out of the door and its with good reason! Assuming you have visited other Chipotle's, you are familiar with the assembly line when it comes to getting your food. The prep station is always fully stocked with tons of options – chicken, steak, pork, cheese, sour cream, guac, SALSA (3 options), black beans, lettuce, corn, etc. The servers provide an ample amount of every ingredient as they create your entree. The food is full is flavor! I've only tried the chicken which is sautéed in good seasoning. All the add-ons may seem like a lot but the mix-up is delicious. Although they are running like its a marathon, if you do not know what something is, Ask! I always forget the level of spiciness in their salsas (oops). If you want more heat, the dining tables have various bottles of chipotle sauce on them.
As for the seating, it is limited as both the high and low chairs are bolted to the floor. Adjacent to the seating area, there is a fountain machine with several soda options. They also have plastic utensils and napkins in that station, too.
If you see a line, don't be discouraged as it runs very quickly. Enjoy the commercial establishment with yummy salsas!
I was downtown and knew this place opened, it's always a good spot to grab lunch when you can't hit up a bar (insert sad clown face).
This one didn't have a line and the service was very quick. I got myself a delicious steak bowl. The ingredients were fresh and everything tasted wonderfully. The best part though was the steak. It was cooked to perfection. I've gotten quite a few of these over the years, but this place had top notch steak.
The place is very clean. The seating is pretty sparse though. It's more of a grab and go place.

Three Stars
Yelp got it right again – Three star Chipotle. The service was good. The white rice had too much cilantro. The chicken was bit crispier and drier than usual. The beans, salsa, cheese, and lettuce were the same. The salad with extra chicken cost $12. Gotta love the NY Surcharge .
(3.5 stars)
In the words of Joey Lawrence- "Whoa!"
The line for Chipotle today was out the door. and if you know anything about Broadway, you know that you'd really rather not be standing on the sidewalk waiting for the line inside Chipotle to move.
But move it did, relatively quickly I was actually in and out of the restaurant w/ salad in hand in about 20 minutes.
The salad itself was pretty good. However it was my time inside the restaurant that I didn't care for.
1) the crew behind the counter was rushing to get through the line. As I stood and watched my salad come together I had people from 4 spots behind me leaning over, yelling in my ear and nearly falling on me in order to tell the woman behind the counter what type of beans they wanted.
2) Because of the rush at the beginning of the line, there was a backup at the end of the line (aka the cashier). Ugh, what a mess.
3) No soft drinks today. Fortunately I asked for a water cup and even though the water came out ridiculously slow I was able to get some. Bummer for those people who wanted a Sprite with their burrito bowls.
Overall- not my favorite Chipotle. Most convenient? Yes, absolutely (hence the .5 star). Would I go there again? Probably not. I'd rather bounce uptown a train stop or two. If I do venture back though, it will definitely be after the lunch crowd.
Sort-of i-relevant-side-note- to the folks who order burritos and then don't eat the tortilla- what's up with that? As I stood in line for lunch I watched a woman do this. Save the tortillas- eat a burrito bowl!
Typical Chipotle restaurant, with a long, but fast-moving lunch line. It's one of the smaller locations, but not many people seem to dine in, opting more for take-out.
