Best Chipotle I've ever been to! Friendly and efficient, my burrito bowl actually came out looking like it could be pictured on the menu!
Everything seemed fresh and the eating area seemed clean.
The bathroom needs a LOT of work. I walked in and the faucet was literally running like someone left it on. Everything was wet and gross and there were no paper towels/limited toilet paper. Customers need to enter a code found on receipt to enter bathroom, so you would think it would be easier to maintain cleanliness.
I absolutely love this Chipotle. Of course, people are like there's no point in reviewing chains because they all serve the same thing and the layout is mostly the same. Very true – but the service is outstanding here and that's what I'd like to say. I don't feel like they skimp me – they give me the perfect amount. Plus, the employees are also so nice and I really appreciate that – even if it's just fast food and not a really personal interaction as a sit-down restaurant.
Plus, if you like UCB (which I highly recommend), it's good to come here, get some Chipotle and then have some laughs!
Oh Chipotle… when I'm feeling lazy, but not ready to Seamless, I head here. It's great that they have gone non-GMO and are environmentally conscious. The food is cheap-ish and fills you up. I always get the steak salad bowl with all the trimmings.
Even better is that they are everywhere! The staff there have gotten the art of making your food quickly so even if the line is out the door, never fear! It moves quickly!
Epic fail on the assembly line at this location of Chipotle. When my group walked in during normal dinner hours, we couldn't find the place where the line was supposed to start because not a single employee was in any of the stations. Instead of apologizing or at least comporting himself in a professional and friendly manner, the employee manning the tortilla press was gruff and unpleasant. Later, the ever-growing line was held up unduly because the cashier decided to abandon her post to clean tables and the drink dispenser while orders continued to pile up next to the cash register. When the cashier finally returned to the counter, she did not immediately resume her post but continued to dilly-dally and neither apologized to the customers nor efficiently rang people up. My chips were stale and scant, and my friends' salads and burrito bowls also looked skimpy and wildly non-uniform. As Chipotles are becoming nearly as ubiquitous as Duane Reade's in this city, there is no reason to patronize one so glaringly subpar.
Oh Chipotle 7th ave, how you have hurt me so. You are like the brother I love but hate because of your attitude. Literally, the attitude of everyone last time I came in SUCKED. I walked in with a couple of people in front of me and there was one person towards the end of having a burrito being made.
There was no one at the front of the line to start the process but the girl at the end just wrapped up. She saw us waiting, looked for the other guy, sighed then slowly started making her way to us. And I mean slow. She was looking for every reason to not start helping us. She would walk down calling for things, "I need more salsa, cheese, were low on steak, we need more beans, rice is looking low. Yea, I need all those things." Funny thing, there was no one there to listen to her.
She started helping the couple in front of me. As she got halfway down the line, another guy came out, greeted me, washed his hands and started helping me. I ordered a bowl to go, and he helped me all the way down the line. He want all the way down to get everything on my bowl because Home Gurl was still kinda helping the other couple. Keep in mind, by the time this guy came to help me, all she needed to do was wrap everything up. Nope, she was still wrapping a burrito that wasn't even that full.
By this time the cashier went MIA. She started yelling for him, like YELLING! "STEPHEN!!! WHERE YOU AT!?! YOU GOT PEOPLE WAITIN ON YOU!" I even dropped a "Really?" So freaking loud. She looked at me and asked if I wanted anything else. I asked for a side of guac. Cashier came out and ran 2 orders for this couple because he couldn't ask what was theirs. He would grab a burrito and tell the total. Then the couple grabbed the rest of their stuff and he was like, "uh, I didn't ring that up. Did you want it?" Yea they want it! There was even an issue because the guy tried paying with a $50 bill.
By the time he got to me I wanted to get out of there. I told him what I ordered and that I wanted some chips with the guac. Cue Home Gurl!. "He got double chicken!" I said no I didn't. "Yea, there was double meat." She was arguing with me now. We went back and forth about this a few times. Enough where she felt the need to open up my bowl. REALLY!?! "Uh, It's debatable. Guess don't charge."
I was done at this point. I said please give me everything so I could leave. He handed me the bag and guess what, no guac. AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Burrito gods! Have I offended you? I asked for the guac, they couldn't find it, they had to look in my bag, they filled another cup half way, I gave it back and asked them to fill it all the way, they finally did and I finally left.
This chipotle needs to learn how to hurry a little. Not coming back anytime soon.
This branch is clean and professionally run. I've been here a few times and the line is rarely too long and the service is good.
One thing I like about this Chipotle is the lighting. Many branches are quite dark and depressing. This one doesn't have that problem and is a nice place for a quick bite.
Recommended for lunch.
What an embarrassment if this represents any form of Mexican food. The price is ridiculous just for scoop of Avocado ($3), the taste is incredibly bland, the meat is very dry and the rice is the best part about it though its about half the recommended servings.
This Chipotle in particular with as many employees there are working, is not only unable to move long lines effectively but it has very poor management where workers are standing around more than they are doing. If the manager just laid off half the employees, not only can they make more revenues, but they can definitely lower the price of their below par food.
Just 2 blocks away is a Tex Mexican restaurant where the line is long but they get everything done 10x as fast and there are just 2 employees.
This is not a place I usually go to, as I have banned fast food from my diet since 1996, but it came to a point when it was late and I was hungry. Surprisingly the food was good and even though I won't trust any meat that has been shredded, I was able to order a vegetable burrito and it was exactly what I needed.
The service, though efficient and stellar, lacks some humanity. Like many franchises, the employees are timed and as a customer I felt like I was being forced to choose as fast as possible, so the other customers were not being inconvenienced. In that moment I guess I forgot, I was a customer too and I was entitled to my choosing time and no matter how long it takes me to choose between the rices and veggies, guacamole and salsa, it is my choice and my money.
