Met up with a fellow couch surfer in Seagate, and after feeling sick all day, decided to get a meal here on recommendation. My friend said the food here is really good and always convenient, 24/7. There were so many options, I almost couldn't decide! I finally got a Mexican Omelette with Hash browns after asking a waiter. My friend got whole wheat pancakes, and we got some coffee as well. The food came on big platters- huge portions! It was cooked really fresh, the hash browns were homemade and not frozen, the omelette big and scrumptious. Service was also excellent, waiters were fast and attentive, I will definitely come here again during late nights/early mornings.
My family's go to place for Sunday breakfast or a late night dinner. We love everything from breakfast, to sandwiches, wings, fries, you name it they have it. Their menu is super extensive. My only critique is the ceiling. It could use some work (once the AC unit dripped condensation on one of my family members…no biggie but don't sit under the AC's). But the food is spot on! GOOOOOOO…. 🙂
Probably the best diner I have been to in ages
Interior is a typical diner, very clean and nice
The service here is great, the staff is friendly, helpful and quick
The food:
Everything we had here was a notch above any other diner I have been to thus far
Favorite dishes:
-Best diner corn beef hash I have had to date, the hash was cooked perfectly, not overly salty, and had good flavor.
-The eggs are always delicious and well seasoned.
-The mozeralla sticks don't taste like the frozen stuff you get at other spots, they are huge with a ton of cheese and great marinara sauce.
-Delicious sweet potato fries, not to crispy, not soggy, just right
-The burgers here are cooked well and are delicious
Long story short, with all the diners out there, this is easily the best I have been to in Brooklyn, can never go wrong here
I was hungry so I decided to come and try this diner out since I always drive past it to get onto the highway. My son and I walked into the diner and waited by the door to be seated which we were within two minutes. We were brought two menus and two glasses of water. We checked out the menus and immediately decided what we were going to have for dinner.
It seemed as if my table was being ignored, everyone was running around acting busy as if the diner was filled to capacity which it wasn't. There were about six groups of people seated in the section where I sat. I took noticed and watched how several waiters just walked by and didn't inquire about whether I was ready to order my meal. Points taken away for that…. Not pleased at all.
I finally had to wave a server over to tell that I was ready to o
Came here for brunch on Labor Day and it was PACKED! Even though it was packed, the waiter was still able to get our order in a reasonable amount of time. The food also came pretty quickly as well. Good job!!! The only downside is the parking. It was hard to find a spot but we eventually did.
I cannot stress enough how much this place fell off. It was great when it first opened and I use to come here very often but recently they got a new chef and maybe new owners. The food is not good and the service got worse too. I would not recommend eating here.
Came for brunch a couple weeks ago on a Saturday. I got the eggs pueblo, which was like an eggs benedict but with avocado and without the ham. I wish I had just gotten regular eggs benedict because I was definitely missing the ham. I loved the hash browns and they give you an enormous portion of them – it took up like half the plate. I also had some mozzarella sticks which were good. My boyfriend ordered the big boy breakfast plate which came with sausage, ham and bacon. The sausage still looked a bit pink in the center so we were afraid to finish it. We also got orange juice and although it says freshly squeezed on the menu, it tasted more like store bought, or a mix of store bought and freshly squeeezed. Service was great and it wasn't too crowded when we went on a Saturday around noon.
Yikes!!!!! Tonight was a different experience. I am used to a different level of service than what I am used to experiencing. From start to finish I was unhappy.
Where to begin?
– Drinks that took forever to come out
– Unappealing bread and cole slaw
– Other patrons getting food even though they came after us
– Used dishes left on the table for long periods of time
– Food that was lukewarm and mediocre ( The chicken fajita wrap was terrible but I liked the meatloaf and spinach.)
– Lack of check-in from staff
– Staff members
– The manager offered old fruit with whipped cream, sprinkles and flambe to compensate.
Service was appalling. The manager had to be called over and when he did, his own staff was slow to respond. Then the manager had the nerve to ask if we want to add a tip…..
Never again!!
