Mediocre and overpriced for what your getting. My Fried Chicken Sandwich was only slightly better then a Wendy crispy chicken, except better bread. My tater tots were cold and I mean room temperature. Also, for a "signature" item they taste a lot like most of the frozen ones you'd find at the grocery store. Over $15.00 for sandwich, tots and lemonade? Seems high to me. Just outside of the mall, Mac and Melts does this type of food better. It's worth trying once I'd say.
I don't know about everything else, but the nutella milkshake made my heart melt! Plus it's slightly cheaper than a Shake Shack milkshake.
I like the Melt Shop and when I want to indulge I head on over here. The service is O.K. but frankly I don't care i'm just here for the burger melts. Juicy burger patties, lots of cheese sauce, carmalized onions and the addition of the pepper jack really rounds out everything. There is hardly ever a line here and it takes about five minutes for it to get made. Solid 4 stars.
The food wasn't that great. I was sorely disappointed. I can make a better grilled cheese. The Nutella shake, however, rocked! I will never get food here again but I will surely come back for a shake.
This place is pretty good, it's nice to get a quick bite from. I'll be honest I don't try many things here because it's expensive and I just buy what I figure I will like. The menu is very small which makes the choosing process even easier. In addition the menu is also pretty simple.
The biggest thing I've heard that they're known for is the tater tots, I know they call it something else but I forgot. Those are okay. I usually get the fried chicken, it's really good. Maybe next time I'd do a stronger bread because the one that is used gets soggy and torn easily. I also love their side salads and tomato soup. I don't know what they put in that side salad dressing but I'll keep going back, OKAYYY.
The service is pretty friendly, even with a busy line they never give an attitude. The wait is never too long, maybe once or twice it was. You get too see them prep the food and everything so that's cool.
I would go again.
The melt and the tots were disappointing, but the Nutella shake was absolutely delicious. I will not be going back there for food, but definitely for one of those shakes!
Small menu but really good fried chicken sandwiches. They offer shakes which I have only had the samples of. This place always has a line but its worth it, the sandwiches are very good.
Love that Melt Shop has become a part of Roosevelt Field since the whole food court was renovated. I'm a fan of a few items on their menu. My number one item to order is their Fried Chicken Melt- fried chicken, pepper jack and blue cheese buffalo sauce on sourdough $8.24 with a side of Shop Tots $2.99 or Cheesy Tots- tots covered in melted cheese $3.91
Oh man, one bite of this sandwich and your eyes open up wide as you taste all the ingredients at once. Your taste buds go nuts for another bite and another. I know mine did!
If you're a fan of grilled cheese sandwiches you'll fall in love with this place. They take grilled cheese to the next level. Winner!
Their food is delicious and it's become my comfort food. Service is nice just like their other location I've gone too. At this location when you place your order they'll take your name and give you a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. You can either stay and eat in the food court or take it to go. There are some comfy seats in front to rest in while you wait; or you may decide to stand and can then see all the action of your food being made.
