  1. Wandering around park slope just looking for classic American burgers, my roommate and I stopped in. Awesome selection of beer! We had the pretzel as an appetizer and if it was any indication of the rest of the apps, then thumbs way up. Then the burgers themselves, you can build your own or choose from pre-selected list. Overall, it was a great experience! Check out their warm cocktails too–to beat those winter blues!

  2. Came here for the first time tonight. I will say it's one of the best burgers in park slope. It's a cozy space, which I can tell gets busy at times. The menu is a bit confusing, but I just did the build your own burger which was fine enough for me. The burgers are served lunchroom style which I think is a cute touch. Very tasty.

  3. So the name is pretty much my boyfriend's two favorite things, so after months of passing by, we finally went in.  The menu had a lot of things that looked good and the decor was casual.  They had two tvs playing hockey and a full bar.

I got a turkey burger in a lettuce wrap and he got got a custom made burger.  Both were fine, nothing amazing but not bad.  The complaint I have is that our appetizer came out AFTER the entrees without the server noticing, so once our burgers were ready, we didn't have a "oops our bad, do you still want this" scenerio I would have expected.

At the end of the day, it was fine, but nothing special and honestly just a little more expensive than I would want for something like this.

  4. If you're going to have the word Burger in your name, you better make sure your burgers are that kick ass that the burgers in Brooklyn Burgers & Beer is justified.

Not exactly what I was expecting. The burger was mediocre and sub par at best along with the service. A couple of items on the menu were not available at a decent hour of 7PM. If you know people order these items MAKE SURE TO HAVE ENOUGH!

The idea is awesome. No one says no to burgers or beer. It would be an awesome chill hangout for friends to meet up and grab a burger but then again, why pay Park Slope prices for meh burgers.

  5. What a difference a week and a day can make!!

When I returned to Brooklyn Burger it was a Sunday evening around 5:10pm (6/12/16) Place wasn't packed but it was busy. My sister and I immediately got seats right across from the bar in the middle of the room. After about 10 minutes we placed our orders for the Motherload, (a bison burger with a mac and cheese patty,) and Nachos with a side of onion rings. We also ordered a milk stout and a cider.

Nachos were extremely tasty. The homemade chips were a great addition, a very light balance and compliment to the chili and cheese. I would definitely get this in the future.Onion rings were good too.

The Bison burger was also good. I ordered it medium rare and it was perfectly done. Although I didn't care for the mac and cheese patty. The burger was well seasoned and tasty all by its lonesome. The mac and cheese add on was just weird for me. Personal choice. Someone else, a mac and cheese lover perhaps, would rave over it. After I took it out of the burger I was a lot happier.

We had to give the gelato burger another try considering how disasteous it was our firat time around! Did not regret the decision. This time we actually got a cookie sandwich. Vanilla for me and chocolate for her, sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies that were the perfect combinatiion of chewiness and crunchiness.Seriously, it was a cute dessert. Good end to a good meal. Brooklyn Burgers and Beers has definitely redeemed itself in my eyes.

  6. Brioche bun was perfect, beef burger was moist and juicy, "truffled" mushrooms, carmelized onions, but the best part was the bulb of roasted garlic!  Garlic aioli was just ok. Skip the Mac and cheese patty and yucca fries (only 5-6 and thick cut). Onion rings were crispy but a bit over fried.

    Service was excellent.

  7. If you want a real burger and you're in Park Slope, it doesn't get any better than Brooklyn Burgers and Beer. Pardon my French, but there are some bullsh*t reviews on here from people who have way too many expectations.

I adore their beer selection. It's very varied and has lots to offer everyone. I'm partial to the Allagash White. And from 4-6 they have great draught specials. Hello!?

For burgers, you just have to get The Motherload. It's an 8 ounce bison patty (already yum) with a fried truffle mac-n-cheese patty, and applewood bacon all on a yummy brioche bun. How could you not love this sinful, gluttonous burger. With an order of skinny fries (who doesn't love some think crispy fries), you are on the road to greatness. The only thing missing on this burger is a tangy sauce of some kind to help cut all that intensely delicious fattiness. Ketchup usually does the trick. If you're really daring, add some onion rings to your order. Those are definitely yummy!

I've also tasted the Moshi Moshi (tuna burger) that my friend ordered and that was also very good. But c'mon. The Motherload is where it's at.

Okay. The service isn't STELLAR but it gets the job done. And I really love the decor. Rustic, industrial, and bright. It's an inviting place serving up great burgers. Check it out!

  8. Is it me or is this place always out of stuff? My second trip here and they were out of the slaw. The first trip (about 2 weeks ago) and they were out of something my bf ordered.

Both times I've had the grilled chicken, which is moist / juicy / tasty (hence the 3 star rating). The first time I had it by itself with yuca fries. Tonight I had the chicken with a lettuce wrap and avocado, and had to ask for the free stuff that comes with the burgers (raw onion, tomato, lettuce, pickles).

I enjoyed my meal and all but there are a few reasons I'd rate burgers & beer 2 or 3
    * They are super stingy with the amount of food they give you – especially given the price you are charged. 5 or 6 yuca fries for 6 dollars! 1.50 per slice of bacon. $2 for one ounce of avocado! I know, it's park slope but still…

On the plus side, you can get one or two good tasting diet friendly meals here (stay away from the corn, even without the loaded part, as it is fried. They also cannot boil your ear at your request.
