The service at this particular chipotle is a bit sub-par. There are occasions when you do get a friendly server. However, on most of my visits I have brushed upon some employees that could be considered rude. Aside from that, you can expect good food.
Important note: the prices at this chipotle are about $1.00 above the prices at other locations on Long Island.
I have always found chipotle 'too much everything', 'pricey'n 'heavy on calories'. But once a month, I am ready to give in this Mexican tiffin place. I usually go for simple rice n beans with loads of veggies. I avoid too much of sauces coz that's the calorie web. Overall, nothing to brag about!
This chipotle has good food but some problems. It seems the servers don't know what "more beans" or "more rice" means. The manager seemed apathetic when I pointed out his bathroom faucet didn't work and it was a mess (see photo). And these guys are raking it in. Low yelp rating though.
I love this Chipotle.
Even though it's in a busy location in Forest Hills, it's not a long wait. I was literally in and out.
Being that they have the Ecoli scares going on with Chipotle going on, they had signs everywhere stating that there's no lettuce. It was a bummer but I understand the safety precautions.
All the ingredients were fresh and hot.
Every location is skimp with the rice portions but I asked for more and they gave it willingly without attitude or hesitation.
Chipotle is usually known for doing your meal fast to get you in and out but my food prep guy took his time and didn't slob my food in my plate.
I recommend and I will return
I finally tried Chipotle and got to see what all the hype was about. It was good, but I could probably make this at home for less.
I got a 2 chicken rice bowls with brown rice, black beans, salsa, corn, chicken, cheese, guacamole, and lettuce. If I had known guacamole was going to cost extra, I would have omitted it since I'm not crazy about avocados, but it did taste good.
The service was good, the guys that were putting together our orders were friendly and joked around with my brother and I, which I thought was nice.
However, the total came out to be $23, which is a bit pricey especially without a drink.
This is true of all Chipoltes, not just this location, it's only worth the money to buy the burrito. Tacos are too small, bowl or salad are not satisfying and with all the add ons, you will be spending more than $10. Now a burrito is worth it due to it's huge size, but also because they stuff the burrito to the max. Like super stuffed. This location is centrally located, good seating, line moves fast. Code for bathroom is on the receipt.
I'm going to make this review short and simple. The associates there are extremely impatient. I was there on a Thursday night and felt like I was at a jail cafeteria, having them yell "next, next, next!" and rushing me. (Although ahem, I've surely never been to one) Maybe that sounds a little exaggerated, and I totally understand that they're just trying they're best to move as fast as they can, but I was literally the last customer in line. Every time I come here, they screw up my order. I ask them that I wanted the naked burrito without the salad but rather the rice, and they all look at me like I have 5 heads. Brah, just do as I say. Also, I ordered the steak as my meat and the meat was just cold and they give you about a spoon of meat. And I'm glad there seems to be quite a lot of associates working there, but what good is it if they just look like a bunch of chickens running around. There isn't a good variety of toppings as well. I would greatly suggest you all to go to Qdoba's rather; I always get the steak meat there, and it's always hot and they're really generous with the servings. Also, the variety of toppings will just blow your mind.
I was a huge Chipotle fan. They gave me a quick, health-ish, tasty, affordable meal for about 6 years. They were my go-to for pre-theatre meals, too-hot-to-cook meals, and it's-Friday-and-I-want-a-break meals. I had a friend who loved them so much he had Chipotle for lunch and dinner every day for 3 years.
Then all the news about food poisoning saturated the news from 7/2015 to 2/2016. This made me very hesitant to eat Chipotle. So I stopped eating them from July, 2015 until now. I finally decided to try them again last week.
And I'm so happy! We ordered two burrito bowls and guac with chips. No food poisoning and the carnitas (my fav!) was juicy, fell-apart-under-my-fork and so flavorful! Their burrito bowl was exactly as I remembered. The guac was fresh, a beautiful lime green with a hint of lime. Their guacamole tasted better than I remembered!
Protip: They still offer you complimentary lemons, but they are placed in the fridge behind the counter. So instead of self serve, just ask the staff for lemons.
The staff was polite, quick and efficient. I went on a weekend and waited about 10 minutes. Seating was clean and well lit.
Thank you for fixing your food safety issues! I will be back!
