  1. Delicious, fast and reasonably priced. Sandwiches are great, as is the coffee. I'd recommend the buffalo chicken sandwich – truly something special.

Very solid spot – no complaints.

  2. Real Time Lunch Review!

Ordered pick up of their Maradona Samy (grilled skit steak, lettuce, provolone, tomato, chimichurri sauce on side).

Arrived 20 minutes later.  Order was ready and waiting!

Asked if they had sides other than chips.  They still had mash.  And they gave a big ole pint with good gravy for only $2.73!

Delicious, filling, really reasonably-priced corporate alley lunch for around $12.  Nice people, no frills, quick, and awesome!

  3. I was really surprised how busy this place was when I walked in the door.  I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel with some pepper and ketchup and a coffee. It came out pretty quickly which was nice considering how busy they were.  The pepper and ketchup was missing even though they managed to write the PK and the foil.  No big deal I added it myself.  I would have been mad though if I took it to go though and found this out later on.

The sandwich was ehh.  It was a mediocre bagel and I am not sure what it was, but the eggs were not quite right.  It amount of cheese and bacon was also lacking.  It filled me up, but left me wishing for my usual place.

  4. My wallet is definitely a fan, and they have a pretty good selection of breakfast items, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, and grill items. My $10 lunch today:

Texas Burger – Two patties topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, American cheese, and a fried egg. This had my name written all over it. Great flavor combination. My one complaint is that the fried egg didn't taste like anything at all. It was bland and if I didn't see the ingredient on the menu, I wouldn't have known it was there at all.

Sweet Potato Fries – My eyes lit up when I saw this on the bottom right of the menu. Fresh with a nice crisp.

Most important of all, they included three packets of ketchup and one packet of mayonnaise in my to-go bag.

  5. One of my favorite delis!  I often get chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, onion, and honey mustard and it's always good.  But their chicken salad sandwich takes the cake – it's possibly the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had.  It comes with bacon and avocado, which is a great combination.  I'd suggest adding honey mustard and hot sauce, as well.

They're also open pretty late, which is a plus.

I'd definitely recommend Angela's if you're in the area.  It's my go to deli!

  6. NYC sandwich shop just off Central park (not far from the museum), great place to grab a sandwich and picnic in the park. It's small, divey, dingey, but the sandwich selections are good and the place is always packed. The italian mix was worth fighting over….ask for NO MAYO, though, or you'll get that where it should not be!

  7. Meh, no thanks. I got the Cuban sandwich today (hot) and was really disappointed. It looked soooo good, but I only had half and it just made me feel kind of sick. The sandwich itself hardly had any taste. The pickle and the bread was good. The pork and ham were dull.

I won't be coming back here for lunch..I would consider maybe trying their breakfast sandwiches. Overall, it was a below average experience, considering I've had a million versions of the Cuban…this one just didn't cut it for me.

Service was ok. Portions are big. $8.66 for a Cuban.

  8. 5 stars hands down. You cannot get good food like this at this price in NYC, especially from traditional Delis.

The sandwiches are awesome and even better when complete with some sweet potato fries. Their delivery always come fresh and typically on time. I've never been disappointed.
