I went here last night with big expectations. Didn't measure up at all. The drinks were very expensive and nothing special. I expected high drink prices because of the supposedly amazing view. The view didn't meet my expectations either. The side of the building that faces Manhattan is where they have the kitchen. You don't really see anything special from the bar. Maybe it looks a lot better during summer when they uncover the patio. The atmosphere was like kinda dead so overall not a fun experience. Also had to wait 15 minutes by the elevator which was slightly frustrating. Maybe will go back in the summer.
Absolutely love the attention the bartenders pay to each and every patron here. "The Kimoto" drink (first one on the drink menu) is delightful. I had 4 at our reunion party and each and every single sip was consistent in flavor and strength. Minus 2 stars for the slow and disorganized service. I asked the bar tender if we are on the deck, can we order food at the bar, he said we have to order food outside with the servers. I asked 4 servers outside to place a food order and one told me that I have to order inside. So I went inside and tried to order with 3 other servers, each one told me they would be right back, to give them a minute. Finally after about 20 minutes, our delicious finger-licking good wings came out along with some nachos (that weren't vibing with my palate) , the other wings, and some mediocre at best spring rolls. I will be back for the views!
a nice place if you're in the area, they try to make it swanky and high class which i have no problem with. Bar Tenders are selective with service even when the bar is completely empty. Not a problem if you don't want a good tip. Has a dance floor and a club space but I find it to be a little pretentious and snobby in an area that really doesn't command it.
This is more of a tourist hotspot or a hotel patron's area to hang out. would I come here again? only if my friends were here and I were meeting them.
Food is mediocre at best.

Two Stars
Usually rooftop bars get bad reviews because it's too crowded too douchey or the lack of service. There was no line to get in but we had to wait for the elevator. The attendant told us that there was a strict dress code at 7pm. We sat in the covered outdoor area. The temperature was great. The view on East Brooklyn was vast but nothing like looking at the Manhattan skyline. The place wasn't too busy we are able to cobble two tables for the six of us. The waiter didn't write anything down and mess up most of our order. We ordered a pitcher of Sapporo for two of us and they brought out to pints. The girls order Wolffer Ciderbut they were out of that. We ordered chicken Gyoza and vegetable dumplings were given. They fix it and gave us the veggie ones for free. The tuna tartare was okay. The fish were cut into large pieces and it was served with blue, red, and white tortilla chips. Six drinks and 2 apps: $100 Total.
$25 card minimum.
Unless you are staying at the hotel, you can find a better rooftop.
This place rocks and I can't wait to go in the summer when the roof is open. I has the Valentines Day drink and it was yummy and strong. The service was top notch. Nice bartender and busser. My only complaint was the express elevator ran like the A train at 2am. But like the A train, once you're in you're in:)
I was not wowed about the drinks menu, neither the location or the view.
I understand that they are trying to make the location a hip place but I do like downtown Brooklyn as it is right now and I don't think, we need to make it classy like the rest of New York. The view was ok, the service mediocre, did not try the food but just a $8 jap. beer.
The eclectic menu at Kimoto Rooftop in Downtown Brooklyn highlights American favorites with an Asian influence that are sophisticated in presentation and playful in concept.
Tuna Tartare
Over a bed of creamy, chunky guacamole is a generous portion of fresh raw tuna with pickled jalapeno and sesame seeds. Be sure to scoop up all the goodness on the plate, including the spicy aioli and the sweet soy sauce, with the crunchy, tri-colored tortilla chips on the side.
Tempura Basket
The tempura basket features crispy, hot-off-the-fryer tempura that ranges from shrimp to baby calamari in a skewer to potato croquette. The wasabi mayo and the sweet teriyaki sauces that come on the side pair perfectly well with the tempura.
Beef Bulgogi Tacos
This fusion dish highlights the cuisines of Mexico and Korea. Stuffed inside crunchy wonton shell are tender beef bulgogi with spicy kimchi slaw. The tacos are topped with thin slices of Asian pair, toasted sesame, and scallion.
Spicy Togarashi and Truffle & Parmesan Fries
The flavors of these delicious flavors are further enhanced with spicy togarashi (top) and truffle & parmesan. Perfect accompaniment to your main entrees, the fries have crispy exterior and moist interior.
Gochujang BBQ Wings
Forget all the chicken wings you have had in the past – the Gochujang BBQ Wings will completely change your mind! These wings have the crispiest skins with the juiciest meat. The spicy and sweet gochujang BBQ sauce make these wings even more addicting.
Kobe Beef Burger
These soft buns are lathered with generous amount of kimchi slaw at the bottom and gochujang bbq sauce on top. The juicy beef pattie is topped with white truffle oil and sprouts.
Crispy Pork Cutlet
The pieces of deep-fried pork cutlet are topped with kewpie mayonnaise sauce and red cabbage slaw.
My review is for a quiet clubbing event that I attended here, we were celebrating my friends bday here we all bought tickets online for $15 each, I was impressed with how organized things were, when we got in we got IDs checked and took the elevator up to the 24th floor and there was one line for coat check ($4) and one line to get the headphones. To rent the headphones you need a credit card that will be returned to you once you give them back at the end of the night, I didn't bring my wallet with me but they were nice enough to let me rent them with my ID, there are 3 DJs that are organized by colors on the headphone which you can switch between at any time, the dance floor is huge and has a cool rooftop area too, I would probably come back here if in the area for happy hour because I liked the space
