Another tiny cozy coffee shop visited. But I think I'll come back here if I'm in this neighborhood.
The almond croissant I took home was awesome. Coffee is definitely above average good comparing to same type of shops on Manhattan.
There was only one guy behind counter on Sunday. He did look like he should get some rest.
Let's keep it real guys, in the microcosm that is queens, this place is mediocre at best. An extremely long wait for baked goods made other places, and served coffee in whichever order they choose, by people who look miserable to be there. I didn't even take more than a few sips of my chai latte, it tasted like a candle, so I trashed it. Just because you have a latte machine, and get your baked goods delivered, doesn't mean you can call yourself a cafe. Two stars are for the doughnut plant doughnuts. And Smile once in a while, it won't kill you.
I've been to this place a few times and always have a delightful experience. I've had the cookies and coffee. There were these mini cakes called canelles that were so yummy! They taste like mini sponge cakes with the crispy outing of a croissant and the soft buttery taste on the inside. Great spot to go for a quick dessert or coffee date with friends. They have free wifi as well for anyone in need of it.
Coffee here is blah. Service was bad. Guy was miserable and seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. Pastries are good but they are all made somewhere else. Not worth trying.
Nice, cute new shop, they have doughnut plant doughnuts first off, we had a coupe of cappuccinos which were yummy and a nice flaky apple tart. I think this is a great addition to this part of town.
I bumped into this place by accident walking through Astoria what a pleasant surprise. Ambiance is warm and welcoming great selection of coffee and they carry Baltazar baked goods! Now that's a little heaven in Queens!
I loved the smiley face on the lady that welcomed us!
I would definitely go back!
A small and cute coffee shop with a cool french vibe. Great alternative to starbucks. The freddos and ice lattes were excellent. Nice pastries and the croissant i had was fresh and crisp. I love cannelle's and they had some.
I find it a bit weird for the owner to write a five-star review for himself rather than update his business page, but I digress…
Stopped by for a coffee and pastry since it looked cute from the outside. Waited a few minutes while the barista was in the bathroom. No one else was in line, fine. I didn't mind waiting. The moment he comes out, one of his friends comes into the store and proceeds to put in an order with him. Said barista ignores us, fails to acknowledge us or apologize that we've been waiting for a while, and proceeds to make this buddy's drink instead… not once acknowledging our presence. We promptly walked out.
Yeah, no thanks.
I'm giving two stars because this place looked cute and had decent looking pastries. I don't think it deserves the lowest of ratings… But yeah, they could do way, way better on service.
