  1. My friend and I were headed to see Jane's Addiction at Williamsburg Park not too long ago and since it was too early to get into the Brooklyn Bowl, we opted for this quaint little diner/restaurant that was only a couple of blocks away.

There is a very homey feel to the place, it seems that it has a regular customer base of folks who come here all the time and are hence known by name.  There is a counter like the classic diners and one can eat there or at one of the few tables that are in the place.  I wanted to have something different today so ordered a hot corned beef sandwich and added the extra couple of bucks to make this a deluxe and get french fries with it as well.  My buddy had a hamburger and also made his a deluxe to have some fries.  Each of us ordered a Zywiec (which is a tasty Polish beer) to wash it down.

The waitstaff was friendly and at the end of the meal with its two beers we were set back about thirty bucks before tip.  I enjoyed my sandwich and would come here again if the mood struck me.

  2. We had a late lunch there today and were very pleased.  The food was *outstanding*!  We started out with the vegetable stew, which was incredibly flavorful.  After that, we shared an order of pierogies (seven, of which the cheese were particularly good) and an order of potato pancakes (five, and they were really delicious).  The bill came to only $21 before tax and tip, which I feel is a bargain for all the (delicious) food we got.

The only reason why I didn't give five stars is because the service was quite perfunctory (certainly speedy, but without the slightest bit of warmth whatsoever).

  3. Old School Polish/European Spot with many classic options and things my grandma made.

I got the Chicken Cutlet Sandwich. Simple sandwich on a French Roll with a solid amount of fresh onions. I love onion, so this was an extra bonus.

Will be back to try other menu options.
