Long wait, even on a weeknight, but this place is always worth it. Had chicken meatballs with regular sauce and rigatoni, plus shared a mint ice cream sandwich made with 1 brownie walnut cookie and 1 chocolate chip cookie for dessert. So good.
After posting my original review I heard from the Meatball Shop's management. They apologized for the mediocre experience and offered a free meal if I would give them another shot. Since I was just visiting New York for the weekend I won't be taking them up on the offer, but I definitely appreciate the stellar customer service! Adding a star just for that 🙂
Came here after some HH with work buddies and came across this place. Its been on my list to try out so definitely wanted to try it out.
I got the Spicy Pork Ball with Pesto and Rigatoni. The Rigatoni was very hard and chewy, I was hoping for it to be softer. The Pesto wasnt that great and Im usually a big fan of it. The Spicy Pork was actually pretty bland to me and not spicy at all.
I also got Steamed Spinach, I dashed some lemon onto it and it gave it a very tangy taste, Im thinking its probably because it is steamed, so there really cant be much flavor to it, so I didnt enjoy the dish either.
Overall not excited over the food here and it was very expensive for what I ordered. Definitely would not try at least this combination again, maybe there is better combinations, but not really a first choice if im hungry in this area. Lots of better choices around the area.
This is place is so cool with funny menu. You literally need a pen to check exactly what you'd like to order.
Our server is friendly and chill, explained what we need to do with the unique menu. Kinda confusing at first, like doing a homework for food ordering. lol I saw there's other customer sat aside of me got annoyed, not surprisingly. lol
I ordered the blueberry lemonade, OMG, so freshing and delish! I love the sourness taste in the beautiful summer day.
We ordered broccoli as starter, bit over cooked, but still crunchy, it has a good spicy kick.
My bf got beef meat balls with red sauce spaghetti, mine was spicy pork rigatoni with pesto sauce. They both taste great but I wish the rigatoni could be more softer ( they should put how do you like the pasta on their menu i guess, lol). I would eat more than half of the dish if the pesto sauce wasn't over oily. You really can see there's too much oil on bottom of the plate.
A very fun, chill place. The name says it all – very simple menu.
There is seating outside, inside and at the bar. (Sadie is a blast if you happen to have her as your bartender).
The regular beef meatballs with the parmesan cream were quite tasty. I believe the parmesan cream sauce is what made the dish. There was some cheese and a small amount of focaccia bread also served with the dish.
The mini chicken buffalo meatballs come in 6 bite sized meatballs with bleu cheese on top for $6.50 – decent deal.
Their jello shots were fun flavored, and I would recommend trying one!
Omg. I had the best meal here with my bf a week back. Chicken meatballs, with gravy on the side, and my beau and i split two sides: carrots with risotto, cheese and nuts and broccoli.
I left really full and like I had gotten my money's worth.
My three complaints are – I wish the nutritional information for their food was made available, all the chairs had cushions (those metal cushions get cold and it was a shock when i sat down in my shorts), and I wish our server was a little more friendly.
I've heard of this place but never had a chance to stop by for a bite to eat. While we were in the city last weekend, we came across this location and stop in.
I love that they had outdoor seating, but I especially loved that they had a vegetarian option for "meatballs". I ordered the vegetarian "meatballs" that were made of lentils and beans in their parmesan cream sauce. The order was 4 meatballs in the sauce with a side of bread. Very good!
My husband got the regular meatballs in the marinara sauce I think. He wasn't that impressed for whatever reason.
Service was great; attentive waitresses. I'd come back again but I don't think I'd make a special trip just to eat here.
I'm not a huge fan of meatball. I always have this thought that meatballs are all made from fake meat. However, meatball shops claim that they make everything from scratch and it's all homemade so I decided to give it a try.
I came here for my friends birthday for the first visit.. It was an hour wait but they have a bar so we can sit and have a drink.
It was really nice outside so we sat out for a party of 5. We started of by ordering a pitcher of white peach sangria. It was good but nothing to brag about it.
I love how they are environmental friendly by giving us the marker and mark on their menu.. It's like a white board market and you can then erase it.. Pretty cool.. You first choose what kind of meat you want and a sauce.. You then choose a side if you wish..
This is what I have tried:
– beef meatball with mushroom sauce with a side of spinach.. I think this is definitely my favorite combination.. I just don't feel like having any pasta.. If not it will taste really good
– on my second visit I order the special meat with special sauce.. Which is spicy BBQ pork.. Omg this was legitimately my favorite if I want something for flavorful.. I also ordered a side of mash potatoes!!! They still have a small chunk of potatoes that's not mash.. Therefore I know it's homemade
– the roasted vegetable for the day is carrot with mint.. And some roasted almond.. Wow.. I love this combination!! Can't believe a simple roasted vege can be delicious!!
And the drinks are absolutely strong and you can't even taste the alcohol in it!! Absolutely dangerous!!!!
