  1. Just stopped in for a small bite with my bf.  Ordered a beer and crinkle fries to share.  I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I thought the beer was decent, had a spicy flavor.  The fries were so good.  It was super crispy! (I stopped ordering fries from the other shake shack locations because they were too soft and under-fried).

There were plenty of tables on a rainy Sunday night, but I imagine it will be very difficult to stack a claim to a table during peak hours.

  2. Let's be honest. You either love it or hate it. Shake Shack is that lover that gives you the best " O " face or that overrated artist that you hate with the passions of a thousand suns. Either way, the facts are in – SS is here to stay just like the Starbucks epidemic.

On a sunny and hot weekend, this place is overrun by tourists, families and the occasional lone strangler that just wants to enjoy that juicy and delicious piece of heaven they call the double. Don't sleep on their shakes/concretes either. I wasn't a fan of the fries from the Madison Park locations but having them here has moved my internal meter over to the " not so bad" side. Besides Chicago and Cali, paying almost 8 dollars for a double cheese burger is ludicrous. By NY standards, I call it cheap especially for the satisfaction I get.

Now for all the haters, I could give two shits about your In-n-Out propaganda, in fact I rather you take that and roll it up into a ball and shove it up your behind. Just kidding ( I'm not).

The location is breath taking and if weather permitted, you can even sit outside and enjoy the food with a great view of the skyline.

I'm a fan but you already knew that.

  3. Being a Californian, I enjoy my juicy burgers with hella sauce and veggies. This burger is simple, bun – meat – tomato – ….. that is all I can remember but it is GOOD. I especially love the crinkle cut french fries. I am a fry-fanatic so these get 5 stars. Everyone who eats at shake shack compare this to in n out, but I think both places provide a different feel of the food. Shake shack to me is a classy burger, and in n out is basically, In THEN out. HAHA, overall, this burger is hella good and whoever comes to NY needs to try one before they leave.

  4. Like all Shake Shacks, I am in love with their burgers. It is fast food that doesn't make me feel like a total pig and their employees seem much happier than other places. The prices are great for what you are getting. I especially like this location because they hosted an adoption event for Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue and provided doggie sundaes to all the hot doggies. The location is gorgeous. There is a nice view from outside and you can sit at one of the folding tables outside if you want.

  5. This place is always packed because it's near Brooklyn Bridge Park. So many people inside and the lines are always long. Tourist, non tourists, just people everywhere all trying to attack the next open table for seats. Be smart and have someone go find a seat while another person orders. Or else you will end up getting your food before you find a seat. And if you thought the line for food is long, wait til you have to use the bathroom. I've been to several shake shacks and this one more than once. The food is pretty much all the same and can't really go wrong, but who knows something somewhere or someone can mess up, just not hoping for it. Although the line for food is long, once you order the alarm they give you to hold sounds/goes off pretty quickly.

I always get one of their burgers (duh) but depends which one I'm feeling that day, cheese fries (uh duh isn't that a must too?), and a strawberry shake (why not?). Their shakes are so thick, it's literally ice cream with not much liquid. You have to either wait for it to melt or just suck real hard (you know I mean the straw so no pun intended).

  6. I'm from Southern California.  To us In-N-Out is the epitome of the quick burger.  I was skeptical of shake shack because i thought nothing could be better than in-n-out.  I was wrong.  The bread is amazing, which really takes the burger to another level.  I had this immediately after eating Grimaldi's next door and I still thought it was the best quick burger, which let me know it was better than in-n-out.

I did not try their fries or their other goodies.  This also doesnt quite compare to in-n-out because this is pricier than in-n-out.  The secret sauce is probably better at in-n-out, but just overall i think this burger was amazing.

  7. Love shake shack! They should be called crack shack! I still rank shake shack as the #1 burger place including west coast's in and out! Just something about their soft buttery bread and fresh meat patties. I think also bc they season the patties. Idk, but every time I see a shake shack, I must! They have the new cheddar bacon burger now which was really good too! For anyone who hasn't had a shack burger yet, you better get on this…life changing lol.

  8. I just wanna say thank you to this particular Shake Shack (or Shake Shake from all the times I've been calling it tbh) for allowing my friends and me to hang out during our Brooklyn day of our New York trip. There was a lot of fun memories at this Shake Shack when we were at Brooklyn (since this was the closest one to the bridge haha). At one point we had a huge gap during our day and we didn't know what to do for about 3-4 hours, so we ended up just hanging out here at this Shake Shack…like 3-4 times haha. Like I said in my other review for Shake Shack, I think the food is overpriced and coming from LA/California, I still prefer In-N-Out in my opinion but I do enjoy the good and chill vibes at Shake Shack during my time in New York City. Thank you! 🙂
