  1. Great place especially in the warmer weather. Excellent food, service and decor. The outside area is stunning. Parking is limited but there is street parking.  Glad to see places like this opening on Staten Island.

  2. I love this restaurant because their lunch hour specials. My co-workers and I go every once in a while to get their delicious wraps. Customer service is good and prices are resonable.  I have no compliants about this restaurant.

  3. I'm so unsure why there were so many low star reviews.  The restaurant has an amazing ambiance that is super romantic — you wouldn't think that you're in Staten Island.  The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.  We had entire prix fixe meals for such a low price, $20.  I was definitely fine dining for such a deal!

The food was so good and I was so filled with joy.  I was glad that the "deal" wasn't less quality / less quantity so it wasn't a gimmick.  Please come visit here and eat … devour the food and the view!  Will def come back for the summer when the outside dining area is open!

The mushroom soup was my fav..!!! and before they used to have the risotto, which was cooked to perfection.  Now I'm checking the menu and it's not there 🙁  Pesto chicken was pretty delicious too.  That is still on the menu, so be sure to try that!  The pasta wasn't overcooked.

  4. I was excited & nervous to try this restaurant. Excited because it is the only one of the three restaurants, Bayou, Beso, Blue (owned by the same owner), that I haven't tried. Nervous because I was getting mixed feedback from others. The restaurant is beautifully decorated! My friend and I could not stop staring at the decor. The restaurant has these beautiful large windows, overlooking the water. There is outdoor seating, which unfortunately we could not experience, due to weather. The decor is similar to one of the sister restaurants, Beso. I had the goat cheese wontons and raviolis as appetizers. Both were great selections. My entree was the salmon made with a sweet teriyaki glaze, over a salad of greens, mixed with strawberries-delicious! For dessert, we tried the Nutella wontons (recommended by a friend) and those melted in your mouth. There is a very nice bar area & the bathroom was huge! The service was great, but the parking lot is small. It was a pleasant experience and I was happy I tried it. Not my favorite of the 3, but I will be back!

  5. Blue is a great restaurant on the island!  We need more seafood spots and Blue delivers the best!  The first time I ate at Blue I had stuffed lobster tail.  It was delicious, but is not on the menu any longer. I wish they'd add it back.  Another time I had salmon over a salad.  It was so tasty and healthy!  Also, I highly recommend the clam bake on Sundays.  The view, the staff, the food is all wonderful.  However, the drinks are a bit pricey.  I definitely recommend trying it!

  6. I brought my husband here to celebrate his birthday and we had a lovely time. We were seated outside with a view of the water (and ugly industrial NJ), but it was still nice to see the sun set and listen to some good old tunes (Sinatra, Etta James…). The ambiance was nice (minus the mosquitoes that attacked right as the sun set).

We ordered the goat cheese and scallop purses which were both delicious. We shared an arugula salad with our dinner entrees (SUCH a tasty salad), he got the "love letters" and I got the flounder. We both really enjoyed our meals, but we found his to be a bit too much on the salty side.

We were too stuffed for a proper dessert, but pushed ourselves to get some chocolate mousse, since we were there to celebrate his birthday. And that was scrumptious!

The worst thing I ordered was the Azul margarita- super weak and not too flavorful. I might recommend sticking to wines/liquor. Drinks are nowhere near as good as they are at Bayou.

The servers were all really nice and attentive. We definitely plan on coming back for more. Definitely check it out!

  7. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review about this restaurant but it just totally had me so blue after my dining experience here.

I must say for a Tuesday night I was pretty busy but we were seated right away and we had a very nice view of the water so I was already happy and couldn't wait to start my dine in. That's my extra star for this review.

They offer a pre fixe menu Mon-Wed but we decided to just order from the main menu and I heard it's great to just order lots of appetizers because they do give offer varieties of little dishes.

So the boyfriend and I started off with a nice bottle of wine, perfect beginning and then had the goat wontons, grilled octopus, baked clams, and an avocado mushroom
salad & how disappointing were we! Waaahhhh…
Grilled octopus was really charred and over cooked, the baked clams had lots of little piece of hard shell so I basically was eating a whole raw clam shell and all and I am so surprised about that because how hard can it be to mess up baked clams! I am
obsess with baked clams like I can get a dozen in CI from a small food court and be so satisfied but this was just my fortay! The goat wonton the dressing on it was very over powering it was super super sweet and just killed the nice flavor or goat cheese and I couldn't even eat the whole thing. The avocado with grilled mushrooms and cheese wasn't bad it was pretty good. I was was just not happy at all and just so surprised that this is how my night was going and my first dining experience here too.

I hands down loved the decor in the place but doesn't make up for the food we tried and the bf and I were totally disappointed and told the waiter also who wished he could of changed or done anything to make it better which wasn't his fault at all.

We absolutely are huge fans and LOVE LOVE Bayou and BESO which is the other same owners and I just didn't understand why this place just didn't cut it at all. And lemme tell you my bf eats and enjoys anything a typical pb&j and he will make it seem like fine cuisine for a person and he just didn't enjoy it much at all.

Maybe we just didn't come on a great day or with a good chef but I don't think I will be coming back here at and if I do it's for something special there offering or doing and have an open napkin just in case I dislike the food again & save myself the upset stomach!

  8. The ambiance here is very calming. Blue is located on the water. We sat outside so we had a crystal clear view of the water. The view is not out of this world as it is really just an industrial area of New Jersey but non the less still pretty. I felt very relaxed and enjoyed the boats and jet ski's floating by. The service was superb. Our waiter was on the money with our orders, refills and everything in between.
    Order:
    Mussels
    Lamb meatballs
    Baked clams
    Pork Rolls
    Caesar Salad
    Key Lime pie
    Chocolate Cake

To keep it simple I liked everything. The food was fresh and very flavorful. I really have no complaints about anything. This would be a great spot to celebrate many different occasions. I am told that the sister restaurant is Beso which I will definitely be trying next time I am on the Island.
