  1. Having tired of the usual diner places for Saturday lunch, we tried Home Town Buffet. It had a surprisingly good selection of meats, fish, veggies and salad makings. Service was good (plate removal), and the buffet items were freshly replenished. I found the baked fish excellent, as was the rotisserie chicken. They even had kielbasa/knockwurst, one of my personal faves.  And for $8.49 a person, lunch was a bargain!

  2. I'm a big fan of this place for a variety of reasons- location (close to me), affordable pricing, Senior discounts for my father, AND food trays are refilled quickly, so there isn't a lot of wait time. There can be long lines, particularly on the weekends for dinner, but it moves fast.

I've always liked their tacos and fixings, and fried chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed carrots. Sometimes they have hot dogs, sauces, mini burgers, and fat steak wedge fries, best with a ramicen of Ranch dressing. There's  salad bar, but the vegetables aren't always the freshest, so beware of that.

The desserts are kind of crappy, but sometimes I snag a cupcake or an ice cream cone.

The breakfasts are good too, I always load up on thick hearty hash brown patties, sausages, eggs. Pancakes are thin and flat, not fluffy.

I've rarely gone for dinner, but I don't care for the meats in general, but my friend went there once and liked it.
