  1. Not entirely proud that we ordered chinese food mid week … but not disappointed, either!

First time trying a chinese place in the new neighborhood & we knew it would either be a hit or a really big miss. Ultimately noodle fun got good reviews from us. A bit pricey but I guess thats the cost of not disgusting food.

    Food:
General Tso's White Meat Chicken – I didn't have any but apparently it was delicious
Assorted dumplings – was really nervous but they were actually really great! In total, 6 steamed dumplings (2 chicken, 2 shrimp, 2 pork). The shrimp was a little off but to be fair I've never had really great shrimp dumplings anywhere yet (any recommendations?!), the chicken was tasty, and the pork was fantastic. Will likely just get the pork next time. The dumplings were thin and packed w meat. I got this as a main and could only finish half.
Crab rangoons – i love rangoons so I'm probably not the best to review these. I was put off that there were only 4 but when I saw how big they were I was ok with it. Would still have preferred smaller & more but whatever. Two were super crispy & perfection and 2 could've used a little more time in the fryer but overall delish.
egg roll – these were massive!!! like bordering the size of a small burrito. The outside was so crispy and it was all sorts of delicious. Knowing how large these are I would probably order less. I ate this first and was practically full.

Delivery time was 45-60 min and we got it around 40 min, so no complaints there. And it was my first time using the Eat24 app – that worked well too!

Hopefully my craving for chinese food is fulfilled for a while but if not, I won't risk it and will certainly order for noodle fun again.

  2. Solid Americanized Chinese food joint that recently opened up a few blocks from where we live. Been meaning to check this place out and finally did after a lazy Sunday of doing absolutely nothing, and it was glorious. Decided to order from Seamless as there was no way I was getting off my couch. Bar Rescue and Walking Dead was on!

Tiny spot mainly for take out or delivery.Very clean and bright looking place with a few tables to sit and eat at.

Super fast delivery and the food that arrived was fresh, hot, with large portions.

Wonton Bok Choy soup, Hot & Sour soup, Steamed Vegetable Dumplings, Orange Chicken, and Steamed Veggie/Chicken platter. All tasted very good, and there was so much we now have leftovers for lunch and dinner today.

Why only 3 stars? It's a little pricey overall compared to other comparative spots in the area, and when I specifically order brown rice and pay extra for it I don't expect to receive white rice. Fail on their part, and even though delivery was smooth and quick, I want what I pay for.

  3. Excellent quality meat and vegetables.. etc.. Awesome friendly service. Is more expensive but you get what you pay for.  I really love the healthy platter.. you choose a number of veggies and protein (they have mock duck and tofu if you don't do meat) and you choose to steam or sautee with garlic and ginger. I usually go the sauteed route.   When am feeling naughty, the general tso's is killer.. big chunks of white breast meat.. Mm mm mmm..

  4. Let me say that this place is a strictly americanized Chinese takeout establishment. What makes it stand head and shoulders above other establishments in its category is that this is the most quality americanized Chinese food place in the city, maybe just about anywhere. Yes, the prices are above the vast majority of other places in its category, but you get what you pay for. From the quality chicken breast they use in the general tsos/sesame chicken to the fresh handmade dumplings, you are in for a good experience no matter what you get here.

    My new favorite Chinese takeout/delivery.

    You're welcome.

  5. Awesome delivery place! You can't really eat there. I mean you can, but when we tried to it was a bit awkward, like they wanted us to just take out. They deliver so fast!

  6. Definitely one of the better Asian places around Yorkville, especially for take-out! Always fast service, good food, and nice presentation. It's the little things. The fact that they don't just toss condiments and utensils into the bag makes me happy. They usually have good packaging and they take time to put utensils, condiments, and napkins into single baggies. It doesn't always happen, but I love when they do it.

They also are one of the few places that really kicks up the spice if you order something spicy. Most places we've tried will ask if you want something mild, medium, or hot, and when ordering hot, it comes mild at best. Don't have to worry about that with this place!

My one and only complaint: the receipts don't print your apartment number all the time so they end up having to call to get into my building/find out which apartment I'm in.
