  1. Heard a lot of good things about this place, but was sorely dissapointed at the product. Everything was rather mediocre, and didn't taste very fulfilling. I didn't feel good waiting 20 minutes just for a bowl of mediocre food.

The line for the food truck might be long but don't be fooled, the wait isn't really worth it. The local business people who frequent the truck only do so because they have too. (not a lot of food options nearby)

So I'd recommend you walk on over to a nearby Chipotle for a cheaper more fulfilling meal, instead of waiting for Korilla.

  2. Imagine Chipotle, but with Korean BBQ instead of Mexican food. Bam! That's Korilla. Order burrito or bowl, fried rice or steamed rice, protein, spices, and sauce (delicious). If I were Oprah, this would be one of my new favorite things.

  3. This review is for the truck. Korilla is basically Korean chipotle. The line gets very long during lunch time, so come early!  I was excited to try their kimcheese fries, but it seems like this truck only has the rice bowls. I got regular rice with spicy pork and it was good, but not good enough for me to want to get it again. The Korilla sauce wasn't particularly special either.

Iread somewhere that they except cards, but don't be fooled, CASH ONLY! It may also be a good idea to get your food and eat it at the Grand Central dining area.

  4. I work on the same block so when the weathers nice, I head to the line of food trucks on 47th for lunch. Been to Korilla twice with friends/coworkers and am expecting to try it more!

I've tried the bulgogi and spicy pork rice bowls, which are kind of like chipotle burrito bowls but with an Asian influence. It costs $1 more for kimchi bacon rice, which I have always gotten but still have yet to spot bacon.. I also get all of the other toppings and the spiciest sauce, Korilla sauce! It's not very spicy though.

Overall, good to have once in a while but the line is quite long every single time I've walked past the truck so I would recommend coming before the lunch rush at noon.

  5. Love this truck and I'm so glad that they are near Grand Central!  I went with a favorite from this Korean fusion truck.  Think of it as a Korean Chipotle on wheels with booming music.  I chose my protein spicy pork, added in kimchi bacon fried rice, added in spicy red kimchi, salsa, all veggies and their hit sauce.  These guys were on the great food truck race and are super nice.  I was going here regularly downtown and now I'm happy to be dining here in midtown.  Check it out it can be served in a taco, burrito or rice bowl.  Why more people don't eat this I can't fathom.  Be adventurous and your mouth will get a healthy flavor explosion.
