I was originally looking for a cool place to lit up a cigar and was totally surprised by their steak sandwich… OH MY GOD!!! I've had some great steak sandwiches but this place totally rocks…
So you can smoke inside, order drinks and chill while chowing down some great sandwich… but prepare to be soaked in smoke…
I would recommend for a night of relaxation with the boyz… BOOM!
I stumbled across this place by default because every bar was full during NBA finals. This was a surprisingly nice find. The service was great, the waiter was nice and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. This is an ideal spot for guys, but I didn't mind the place ( I went with a guy) or the cigar smoke. The food was good and you got a lot of it. I would def come back again when I am in the area.
I enjoyed my dinner, I've since made it my mission to eat at Jamie's.
The energy in the place is great, there are two sides to the restaurant. One side more sports bar, a few flat screens around, and the other side although a few flat screens is more for the dining experience.
The food is great, steak (filet) cooked to perfection, and the extras were just as good.
I was able to enjoy a nice cigar, and a brandy after my dinner at my table amongst all the other customers. Very convenient, and again, a fine place to enjoy food, and a stogie.
I'd been wanting to come to Jamie's for quite some time, and I did last night. I was honestly PLEASANTLY surprised. I'd seen the website and photos others had posted, and it doesn't do it justice at all. I'm giving Jamie's a 4/5 because it was my first cigar lounge experience, and I have NO basis of comparison yet. Look for an update in the coming months!
Bring your own cigar. Theirs are pricey (as I'm sure you'd find at any other cigar lounge).
It was a Thursday night, around 8, and Jamie's was MOBBED. Parking is a bit rough, as my buddy had to park at Home Depot and walk there. I'd crawled around for 10 minutes searching for a parking spot, and luckily got one – the thing that sucks is people double park here like it's their JOB. So wait for a spot, or park at Home Depot. You'd hate to be wanting to leave and then can't because your car is blocked in. Toast.
(Smoking is permitted inside the ENTIRE spot., regardless of which of the three areas you'd like to go to. FYI.)
You walk right into Jamie's into the classier, dining area. About 8 tables. There was guys night outs, as well as couples enjoying a dinner – all in the classic cigar aromas. If you go right as you enter, you have a classier, smaller bar with a few seats; a more intimate setting. All the way to your left is the area we were seated in – a bar, high tables, TV's, and just an all-around awesome place for a few guys to go to relax. The bar was lavish and huge, lit up, and has everything you'd want. I kept saying to myself how awesome of an environment Jamie's has – it's not like you're going into a place that's weird, has five people, and no vibe.
*Each table has a cutter and small box of matches for you. So if you forget your cutter or lighter, you're good at Jamie's.*
The menu is spot-on in terms of pairing cigars with certain foods. I got the mozzarella sticks, as I wasn't too hungry, and my buddy got the Cheesesteak with seasoned chips. We both enjoyed our apps, and washed them down with Angeline's Californian Pinot Noir. An awesome pairing of wine, food, and cigar for sure. The total was $40 for two glasses of Pinot, mozz sticks, and a cheesesteak. The staff was awesome – constantly making sure everything was good, refilling drinks, etc. We had a solid smoke, glass of wine, and unwinded for a little over an hour at Jamie's, and it was fantastic.
The only thing that could be a BIT better would be the parking situation. It's pretty bad.
Other than that, a PERFECT place to go out with the guys, have an awesome, relaxing evening with a nice cigar and a glass of your favorite beverage.
