“This place is better than many of the burger joints in NYC wether you keep kosher or don't. Reasonable prices and generous portions-must go!!!”
“They're apparently getting a liquor license soon, and when they do, it'll be a great date night spot on the UWS.”

This is a kosher burger place and I was hesitant about trying it since I prefer my meat to be medium rare to rare. All of their burgers are cooked medium-well and I don't think you can ask them to cook it otherwise. I must admit that the burgers were actually pretty good despite the meat being cooked through.
I got the breakfast burger which comes with a fried egg, tomatoes, lettuce, potato curls and bacon. The bacon was pretty tough, stringy and not at all tasty. But the meat, potato curls and fried egg paired really well together. It's hard to go wrong with a fried egg in a burger I suppose. There's just something tantalizing about the golden dripping yolk soaking into the bread.
The space is airy and bright. We didn't have trouble finding seating since we came for lunch on a Sunday. The service was great – we didn't experience any of the troubles that some others have commented about. Maybe it's because they were only at 1/3rd capacity. I'm sure things could get hectic if the restaurant was full.
Nice tasty burgers – don't mind if we do!
My dining mate got the turkey burger with guacamole on the side. I got the mushroom caramelized onions burger with fries. We had the cauliflower soup to start.
The soup was great and very creamy. The fries were crispy and came in a large pile- great to share! The burgers stole the show! Big, juicy, and delicious. We left fully satisfied.
This is a casual place with pretty fast service. I'd come back to try the slow cooked lamb sandwich.
We have been trying to get into this well – known burger joint for years. We finally managed and it wasn't worth the wait. The burgers were very small and had little taste. The fries were good. I certainly don't understand why people are lining up for this.
If you want to eat here DON'T . They are rude and obnoxious. They will tell you it is a 45 minute wait and when 45 minutes go by they will say the same thing again. They have the worst customer service !!!!
The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The food is mediocre and the service is awful
Worst customer service!!! Left us waiting over an hour and a half. The red head guy who was trying to help at the front made all the situations worse! He's terrible and inappropriate …
This place is always mobbed! It's very popular among out community members, although I don't see why their so renowned for burgers, in spite of their name. They cook all the burgers only one way here, medium well, which is a shame for those who like their burgers to actually have some juice, pink, and not be cremated.
On a recent visit, I ordered the cauliflower soup, the fried zucchini, yam fritters, the bacon, and for dessert and drink, the peanut butter mousse and orange jalapeno lemonade.
The cauliflower bisque was always one of the better items on the menu, but under the new regime, it is only available occasionally, and not as a regular item. It's creamy, smooth, rich, and topped with crispy, garlicky bread crumbs. The yam fritters and zucchini are crispy, not greasy, and perfectly adequate, although not anything I'd write home about. The beef bacon is frankly better at Gotham; here, it doesn't seem as if they do much to it, whereas Gotham's beef bacon is sweeter and crunchier. The lemonade was more balanced and not as spicy as I would have thought, and it was very refreshing and went excellently with the yam fritters. The yam fritters would have gone better with a sweet type sauce, rather than a nondescript hot sauce. The parve ranch for the zucchini is actually tasty, and very cool. Ask for extra. The desserts are really good, as well, and the peanut butter mousse was so good it was hard to believe it was parve! They get 3 stars instead of 4 due to the whiny, stuck up, arrogant, and cold attitude from the staff. These fools are trying to hard to be hipsters, and end up being colder than the ice that overwhelms your jalapeno lemonade. Make sure you specify plain tap water, otherwise they'll try to stick you with 7 buck tap water in a bottle they market as still water. I think you'd be better off going to Talia's or Gotham, both on the same strip of UWS Modox land.
-I am a big burger fan
-I ordered out
-The order came quickly.
-I ordered the House Burger
-My burger was no better than a defrosted patty thrown into the oven
-Not much to bite into
-They could have at the very least, inserted more lettuce to make my dinner more bulky.
My company, for the overpriced meal, told me that she liked the burger. But it was her recommendation to begin with. Still she enjoyed it. I need not spell out further my opinion.
