  1. This place has a lot of options and makes everything petty fresh. They have various dumplings which come seared or steamed (vegetable, chicken ,pork, etc.). One really cool option is to get the 6 piece sampler so you can try various dumplings. They also have soup dumplings: pork or chicken (steamed only).  Dumplings basically come in 6 or 10 if you order them fresh and are $7-$10, respectively. Basically $1.00 a piece. You can also by then frozen by the dozen for a bit cheaper than the 10. And they have sliders which I mention below.

Unfortunately for me, a few of my dumplings had popped so my order had soup on the bottom instead of the inside of my dumplings. I was so sad. Chicken dumplings are good, but I think their pork ones will be better. They have a pretty small meat to dumpling wrap ratio. They also started selling these pork "sliders". Its beef/pork in a steamed bun (like for Peking duck) with mayo and pickles. Actually a pleasant combo granted that I don't like pickles. (2 for $4.50)

GET A PUNCH CARD! So many places have punch cards in new York. Its amazing. Haha. I love supporting small local businesses and this place is adorable. Small bathroom in the back for customers too! Like a closet to Narnia, but it'll do. Don't forget to grab their "super delicious dumpling sauce" aka basic dumpling sauce…. Lol

  2. Maybe I'm spoiled by the cheap and bomb Chinese food in LA's San Gabriel Valley, but these dumplings were definitely meh.  Meh. Also at midnight, they only had steamed dumplings left. I think the seared would've been way better. I got the sampler ($6.50) which lets you try 1 of each of their dumplings, plus 2 extra of your choice. I didn't get to choose. The veggie one had a strange herb in it which I wasn't expecting. The shrimp and the pork were ok… the pork one had corn in it which is interesting.

The white guy taking our order was really rude. First of all he didn't let me choose which extra dumplings I wanted to try for the sampler. Then, he complained about us eating in in Chinese to his co-workers. Right in front of us. Little did he know that we had people with us who understood Chinese. Maybe he was mad that we ordered take-out but were actually deciding to eat there? Regardless, that is totally unprofessional. Overall it was a waste of $6.50 and I wish my drunchie craving self hadn't wanted dumplings and hadn't decided to go here. The only plus is that it's open until 12:30 am, which is basically the only reason we went here. Plus it has a cute logo.

  3. I love dumplings, and so I was super excited to try these. But that excitement died and withered away after the first bite 🙁 I tried all the dumplings except the pork and soup dumpling. I requested they be seared. They were not good at all, i couldnt finish my combo, so I jumped to the banana and pumpkin dessert dumplings, oh no that wasnt much better. The dumplings don't taste right, its hard to explain. The filling has a off taste, and the dipping sauce is watery and tastes like white vinegar. Dumplings in general should be eaten right away cause they get mushy, but these came out mushy. Not worth another trip, frozen dumplings taste better!
    Happy Yelping 🙂

  4. I was in the mood for a snack, so I headed to Dumpling Man. The shop is small, and there is very little seating. It is definitely place for you to get a quick bite and leave.

My cousin and I ordered the sampler and the soup dumplings. I thought the seared dumplings were far superior to the soup dumplings. I really enjoyed the pork dumplings and thought they were very good. The rest of the dumplings weren't as great. I would only order the seared pork dumplings if I were to come again.

All in all, I felt that the dumplings were good but nothing special.

  5. Great flavor, quick service. This place is a go to if you're in the neighborhood.

I'm really starting to hate yelp, this place doesn't need a 10 page review to explain it. They have good ass dumplings and they are priced well and take about 5 minutes from the time you order. This place is a win/win in my book.

  6. Dumpling man has incredible dumplings. Came here yesterday at 830 on a Friday night with a group of 4. It luckily was unseasonably warm outside because there was not 4 seats together inside to sit. This place is very small but there is s small counter outside that we were able to grab. I ordered a small steamed veggie dumpling and can't tell you how impressed I was with them. They were the perfect consistency and texture. They were also huge so I couldn't even eat all 6 in the small order.  The cashier was very attentive and suggested I order the 'Asian tahini' sauce with it and wow I was not let down! The sauce was so good with the dumplings! Everyone else in my party got the chicken dumplings, pork dumplings, and steamed buns. I heard nothing negative come out of anyone's mouth. Would definitely come back here when I am craving a dumpling fix!

  7. Best dumplings I've ever had. My friend took me here one time and ever since I've been hooked. I always go there whenever I'm near St.Marks. It's a cool tiny shop and seeing how they make the dumplings in front of you is really cool. Prices aren't that bad. I recommend going to Dumpling man if you're ever near St.Marks.

  8. Just love this place for their delicious dumpling, for their late deals for their kindness.
    Typical and very tasty
They also have a happy hour deal until 7pm
You won't be disappointed it is such a great place, in an amazing neighborhood
