Had these guys for lunch today. Shrimp with broccoli with pork fried rice. The proverbial "lunch special". It was ok. The shrimps were average, couldve used a few more of them. The broccoli was cooked well and the sauce was actually really good. The rice had nice big pieces of pork in it as opposed to the lil red dots that may or may not be pork and the grains were big and brown as opposed to the skinny cheap yellow rice, however it was all ruined by the fact the rice was undercooked. Nobody likes hard rice accept at the bottom of a Paella and this was no Paella. Crunchy fried rice no es bueno.
The place has changed names three times over the 20 years I've been in Red Hook but the food has always been good. Still one of the best Chinese Food places in Brooklyn. Standard Chinese food menu and pricing for Brooklyn. If you're in the neighborhood and want good cheap chicken wings in garlic sauce this is the place.
