I have spent almost two weeks in the area due to a jury assignment at the courts across the street. The choices for food within walking distance are pretty minimal but this place shines out of all of them. The food is very fresh and although it is a bit on the expensive side, its worth it. I've tried a few things including a caesar salad, a turkey wrap, an iced coffee, and a grilled chicken panini, which was my favorite out of the three. Everything I've ordered has been made fresh so it did take anywhere from 10-15 mins to be prepared, which didn't make a difference to me since all I have is time lately. If you are a time crunch I'd be aware of that. The gentleman at the front is very sweet and greets you in a friendly way when you walk in, which is a nice contrast to many places. The food selection is pretty generous, you have options for salads, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, breakfast food, coffee, baked goods (which look tempting), and even smoothies. Again it's a nice option when you don't want plastic bread from Subway or fast food. The dining space is fairly small, 4 tables and a bench looking out onto Queens Blvd. It can get very crowded during the court lunch hour but things move and it's reasonable. If you can get a seat no one will bother you and you can eat your food in peace and occasionally hear some divorce settlement conversations which I heard today-so interesting! Sidebar-People beware of who you marry and have kids with! I'd definitely recommend this place and will probably return tomorrow and for the remainder of my jury duty service.
