The bagels here are actually really good and I would have given this place 4 stars if the guy behind the counter wasn't trying to charge me for a water that I already had when I walked into the store. My wAter was already open and i had already drank a substantial amount on my way to the bagel store. Even the wrapper was slightly torn a bit, my point clearly I had already brought it into the store with me. The guy was looking at me as if I was lying. Really?!?!?! Do you think I started chugging the water in the store?! After I told him it was mine he proceeded to give me $1 dollar less than I was owed and when he saw my face he grabbed another dollar. Unreal!! Needless to say I have never had that problem before and will not be coming back here.
That has become my go to bagel store despite the fact that there are two others closer to my apartment. Melissa and Carlos run the place and they are two of the nicest people I have met in Bay Ridge. Bagels are made fresh and are delicious. On weekends they'll do special bagels like a french toast bagel or crumb cake bagel. I would nominate their coffee as some of the best around too!
Lunch is good too. They have a variety of wraps, sandwiches and the like. I go with the Manny Wrap when I come in for lunch — grilled chicken, red peppers, pesto-mayo.
They're open 24 hours on weekends which makes for a convenient place to stop when getting off the train late on a Saturday night.
