Two thumbs down for the food 🙁
We ordered the Sushi for 2 and the Kung Pao Chicken. Complimentary salad.
Sushi for 2 – nothing on the plate was fresh. The tuna was so bad I had to douse it with soy sauce to eat it. The yellowtail was okay, but again not fresh. The only thing on that plate that was decently okay was the spicy tuna roll, but you really can't mess up a spicy roll–just make it super spicy and it will pass. The salmon was the worst… it was so tough, pretty much had to rip through it. The rice was seasoned too much with vinegar.
Kung Pao Chicken – flavoring was good, but where's the chicken? All we had was deep fried batter. I think the kitchen staff didn't realize cutting the chicken paper thin is detrimental to this dish.
No matter how good the service is, if the food is bad… we won't be back.
mongolian beef
yellowtail and scallion roll
alaska roll
flavors are good
prices are better.
$3 singha/tiger/sapporo
happy hour indeed.
Eek! Methinks not.
Just don't go. Their cocktails are questionable- I'm not even sure that the liquor they use is legit. The service was underwhelming (servers were sitting around, playing games on their phones). Just… do yourself a favor and go next door to Jin Ramen where the service, booze, and food are 100x better.
Got delivery from them via seamless. Ordered sushi and seaweed salad. Super low prices and good food. Delivery came quickly. I'm happy!
Great lunch spot, with an even better lunch special! Cheap and quick eats. The sushi was pretty average as was the tempura bento and that is A-OK with me. They do have a rock shrimp roll that was pretty awesome.
The nice waiter worked pretty hard and efficiently.
Review is for delivery only, so I can't comment on the service, decor, etc. that you experience when dining in.
I've also only ordered sushi + bento boxes, so I can't comment on anything else.
Delivery time is always on point with the Seamless estimate.
Food is decent. Delivery sushi is always hit or miss, and I haven't been dissatisfied. Not the best sushi in the world, but certainly good enough and at reasonable prices.
They forgot one piece of sashimi in my last order, but they didn't charge me for it either, so I guess no harm, no foul.
The staff was nice, the sushi was fresh and affordable. I had maki and some sashimi and everything tasted very good. The wine is inexpensive.
It is always nice to find one of those middle of the road sushi places that is good and this is one of them.
I only order my lunch specials from here, so I have no idea how dining in is like. Do not get their sushi as takeout because the sushi just doesn't look too "fresh", and the rice sort of breaks on the bottom. But that's ok, it was only one time, and the food wasn't bad, just meh. Their lunch special for 2 rolls at $8 can't be beat though! It's the cheapest in the are and their rolls area very good for the price. Love love love the spicy salmon roll!
