Everybody Eats

“I bought two for 8 dollars, not bad, considering that I have not had a baguette in 3 years.”

“It was great to have the opportunity to try samples of almost all their products and talk to the hospitable co-owners, Pedro and Bruce.”

  1. I'm not a celiac, but I'm always open to try anything.  Everybody Eats certainly does not dissappoint!
Multi Grain High Fiber Loaf – Dense (and as you know the denser it is, the healthier breads generally are), Nice toasted
Pizza Shells – Excellent thin crusty goodness
Chocolate Chip Cookies – I'm generally not a fan of hard cookies, but these were super chocolatey awesomeness.

The "store" is located to the left of the kitchen in the corner.  Worth every penny if you're a Celiac or not.

  2. Came here for some gluten- and nut-free bakery options. It's not set up like a retail bakery, but the owner is welcoming and kind and engaging. He'll sit you down in his office, show you the menu, and then grab what you want from the back. The prices are decently priced and the bread is some of the best gluten-free I've had. You'll walk away with plenty for your pantry.

  3. Don't make the same mistake as me coming here thinking it's a store front bakery. When they're open and you walk in the windowless front door there are two more doors, one to small office where the owner does his business and the other is to a kitchen where he does the baking. You don't feel like you really should be in either room, that is until the guy welcomes you with open arms and a free cookie and tells you to take a seat. Everybody Eats is a business where you place orders for gluten free baked goods and come to pick them up, nothing more, nothing less. There's no denying that the owner is a sweetheart and that he fills a niche of gluten free foods that are otherwise very hard to find. Personally I'm not a celiac, just a guy who likes a good bakery so I was a little uninformed before I came here.

If you are a celiac (and trust me, only celiacs need to worry about gluten, it's not really unhealthy for you) here are the options and prices (obviously if you're not a celiac you can still enjoy what they have, just ask the owner who's not a celiac):

-11" frozen pizza (whole tomatoes and mozzarella)- $12
    -2- 11" pizza shells- $14
-Ravioli (frozen-36 per order)- chiciken, cheese, spinach-ricotta, pumpkin (seasonal)- $29
    -Baguette (2 loaves)- $8
    -White Bread- $8/loaf
    -Egg Challah (dairy free)- $11/loaf
-Deli Rolls (6 pieces, optionally dairy free)- $8
-Multi-grain, high fiber, high protein rolls (6)- $10
    -Bagels (4)- $8
    -Multigrain high fiber loaf- $12
-Chocolate Chip Cookies (1 dozen, crunchy but delicious)- $9
    -Banana Bread (dairy free)- $12/loaf
    -Cinnamon Sticky Buns (2)- $8
    -Sugar Cookies- $18/lb

  4. Everybody Eats Deli Rolls are some of the best you'll find. Stop in on Saturdays to purchase your goods in person and you even get a free chocolate chip cookie! (They exactly mimic the taste and texture of a Chips Ahoy cookie except they are twice as large.) I haven't tried anything beyond their bread and cookies but I imagine their pasta would live up to the standards of their other fare. I wish they sold this stuff in grocery stores so I wouldn't have to wait until Saturdays to stock up!
