Hudson Eats At Brookfield Place

“It was great. 🙂 Although Num Pang claims to be the "jealousy of the cafeteria," Mighty Quinn's definitely wins.”

“The selection of food is great, with strong selections from Umami Burger, Black Seed Bagels, and Dos Toros Tacos making an appearance.”

“From Num Pang, got Pork Belly sandwich, Lemonade Gingerade, Blood Orange Gingerade.”

  1. Beautiful place and breathtaking views! If you work around the area or are simply visiting, you MUST come have lunch at Hudson Eats. It is located on the second floor of Brookfield Place. There are so many options to pick from. From salads to to burgers to sushi. You pick! And of course, many places for dessert!

    The sitting area (with tables) is big. However, during lunch time the place can get crowded and the sitting is not enough. But if you are looking to eat there then make sure you find a table near the windows. You will thank me when you see the beautiful views of the Hudson. Overall, the place is really clean. The lines for each individual restaurant are long, but they seem to go by fairly quickly. I went to Digg In. I spent about 7 minutes in line.

    Digg In – You get to build-your-own plate or salad. You can get small or large. Your pick of a protein (tofu, chicken, meatballs, shrimp), 2 sides (for a small plate), and one grain (rice,quinoa). Everything was delicious and very filling. They also offer different beverages. Their orange juice is so tasty and great. Their club water is also great!

    My favorite thing about this spot is that during the summer you can take your food outside and eat by the river. It doesn't get much better than that.

  2. **SUPER CROWDED BUT DECENT EATS**

    3.5 stars.

    Is there an apocalypse?
    No, it's the lunch crowd.
    Hundreds of people everywhere.
    Lines forming, voices carrying.

    I usually can't.
    But I did for a friend.

    AMBIANCE
    =========
    Reminded me of a typical West LA mall food court.
    Almost similar-style restaurants with organic and healthy
    marketing.

    Decided to choose NORTHERN TIGER.
    The line wasn't THAT long.
    Sat in a booth with another couple.

    FOOD
    =====
    BRAISED BEEF NOODLE SOUP – $14
    Beef shank, pickled mustard greens, noodle soup.
    Broth and beef were surprisingly good, however,
    the noodles couldn't keep up with the beat.
    Too soft and lacked the chew.
    RATING: 3.5/5

    Tried my friend's dumpling and it was legit.

    PRO TIP
    =======
    Obviously avoid the lunch crowd if you can.
    Double whammy if you're there for lunch and it's raining outside.

    RECOMMEND if you're in the area and it's sunny outside
    for better seating options.

  3. This relatively affordable two level food court is a must visit place. I stumbled in on a Monday around 10 AM. There wasn't a crowd yet and the outside riverfront area had plenty of seating to watch the sailboats sway in the wind. I love the variety here in terms of food uniqueness and cuisine. There are bagels from Black Seed, cupcakes from Sprinkles, chopped salads from Chopt, and awesome drink specials at Tartinery. Many of the establishments had samples out – perhaps leftovers from the night before (?) – but amazing nonetheless! I want to go back here when I'm super hungry so I can report on individual restaurants. Overall though, this place is worth visiting: it's clean, in a great area, affordable options, and awesome views.

  4. Very nice place. Tons of food to chose from. From your regular burger to Asian noodle in soup to Mexican. Everything is here and even dessert places. And they sell wine and beer here. You are really all set!

    Some places provide places to sit and eat or you can take your food and find your own table in their large seating area with a very good view of the river.

    Definitely will return again

  5. Very cool food court with lots of great restaurants but seating is ridiculous. It was next to impossible to find a table for 6 and people were camping out all over saving tables for what seemed like hours. It was quite clean and modern and have a great varied selection.

  6. If you like a food court then you will like this area. It's inside a huge building. You have to walk to the second floor through long corridor to reach the court. Different foods, personalities, prices, drinks etc. nice location to river, memorial etc.

  7. So many cuisines to choose from.   There was sushi, bbq, Mexican, Asian, among others.

    We ate outside and people/boat watched.

  8. Located in Brookfield Place, Hudson Eats is a fantastic addition. A step up from the typical mall eatery, Hudson Eats showcases some of NYCs finest and quick food. There is a huge variety of higher end eats here so you really can't go wrong. From Dos Toros to Num Pang to Sprinkles to Black Seed bagels, you will find something that suits your palate. There are huge areas to eat, but this is a very popular spot, especially with the linch time crowd during the week. The decor inside can be described as elegant and modern. Again, not what you would find in a typical mall eatery. Your view while eating is of the Hudson river and all the lovely boats that dock near by. Really liked this place!
