Silver Spoon Diner
“I would definitely recommend the pancakes if you're stopping in for breakfast.”
“navigating through the side streets, as explosions go off around them, they return to their home base in Rego Park.”
“Upon first glance, it looks food court-ish and doesn't look like it has any sort of ambiance whatsoever.”

Great location right next Lefrak City and the 1 Lefrak office building. What you would expect from a normal diner. The service was good , food was good, and the prices are good. If you are in a rush sit at the counter instead of a table or booth. In the morning it can be pretty hectic.
This place is growing on me! I can't believe we haven't tried this diner in all the years we've been in this neighborhood. It's your typical diner with a variety of choices. Pizza on your left when you walk in, bakery and breakfast items on your right. You get seated in the back where the booths and tables are and there are plenty of seats. Service is good, quick and friendly. My husband especially loves that when he tailors his order, they get it right. The chicken sandwich here is made really well. The scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries with toast is good and always on point. Well-seasoned home fries and love their toast. They give lots of bacon! The bread comes out perfectly hot and soft, with soft butter…it's always the little things that makes us enjoy our meal! Now we don't have to go as far as Georgia or Tower diner in the area because Silver Spoon does a pretty good job of giving us the diner experience.
Huge improvement! Interior renovated and staff moral way up! Love the nice clean extensive menu and lunch specials! This diner is the real deal!
I don't know if I'd consider this place a food court. I'd say it's more of a diner, with newspapers and drink coolers for those on the go.
The place gave me a good breakfast. I got an omlette with pepperoni & cheese (yes the cheese was extra), grits (finally grits in NY), toast and coffee. Everything tasted great. I didn't feel rushed at all.
I didn't like the fact that they charge an extra .75 if you use a credit card under $20.
Silver Spoons: a Michael Bay-style review
it is approximately half an hour before the 2011 Super Bowl. CUE DRAMATIC MUSIC.
we cut to our heroes, The Phantom and Leonidas. they are speeding down Queens Boulevard. there are car crashes and explosions all around, and a helicopter chasing them.
they maneuver down Queens Bully and into LeFrak City. more military vehicles en route, as they duck into "Silver Spoons".
Leonidas: we're here to pick up an order for 5 boxes of wings.
the Phantom: gentlemen, welcome to "the Rock".
guy at counter: forty-three dollars, please
Leonidas: do you take credit?
the Phantom: GIVE ME YOUR FACE!
our heroes speed out as the tanks, jets, and chopper are converging on their location.
"WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED!"
navigating through the side streets, as explosions go off around them, they return to their home base in Rego Park.
the wings are succulent, somewhat spicy, messy, and packed with flavor.
the Super Bowl party has been saved.
