  1. Meh. They mess up my order more times than they get it right. The lines are long but occasionally they go fast if there isn't a new person on the register.  The people I pick up my order from more times than not gives attitude. And two times I ordered mozzarella sticks and they were completely empty.

  2. This is McDonald's – what do you expect.

But I like this one because it's fast and efficient.
The workers do talk alot in the back, but as long as you do your work and I get my food in a decent time, I have no complaints.
But I have to say, in these past two days – I am very disappointed.

I didn't even go in because the line was out to the door at Saturday morning 10am!!!
This does not happen in midtown.

Look on the bright side, they take coupons! Sweet Tea – $1.

  3. They have the dollar menu, so its good for that, its off 42st so its not as packed, but there is limited seating upstairs.

  4. They always forget my coffee.  My food will usually come out instantly, or within three minutes.  But every single day people that come behind me will get their drinks and food before me.

I'm just calling it quits on this one.

  5. It's a McDonalds. It's not the creme de la creme of the franchise, but it certainly isn't the worst. Service here is quick, if there is a line during lunch – they're good with making it go quickly.

They don't ask me to repeat my order 3 times (I've never ordered anything here other than their french vanilla iced coffee – which I seriously LOVE, it's like my CRACK, their grilled chicken ranch snack wrap with small or medium fries as lunch or a McFlurry for *rare* cravings, lol), they know how to work the registers and give me correct change and they give me warm fast food when I need it.

Being right on the corner of my office I come here perhaps once every 2-3 months for food and more than that for my iced coffee fix. The folks that work here are pleasant and the manager seems to work with them very well, nothing pisses me off more than walking into a fast food place to see managers barking orders at their employees and treating them like peons.

  6. Preface: this review does not talk about the actual food in this McDonalds, but instead focuses on the service.

Background: I'm a collector of action figures, and sometimes Mcdonalds (or Burger King) will have Happy Meal promotions where they sell toys based on characters from a series I collect.  In this case, we're talking about the current "Transformers Prime" promotion.

I've bought Happy Meal toys for years, and in years past I've gotten a wide variety of responses to me asking "Can you show me what Transformers you're selling right now?".  It's pointless to identify them by character as you can't assume all employees have an in depth knowledge of which character is which.  Sometimes I get eye rolls, other times I'm told flat out "We don't sell the toys separate from the Happy Meals" (not true, there's actually an item they can punch up on the register for "Happy Meal No Toy").  It's when I ask for this type of item/service that a McDonalds truly proves their worth to me.  Fries?  Burgers?  Sure, any McD's employee can handle that.  Run around getting me Optimus Prime and Megatron?  That's for employees with sterner stuff.

On a rainy, cold night I walked into this McD's looking like something the cat dragged in and asked the usual "Can you show me which of the Transformers toys you have?" and without missing a beat the friendly cashier went and checked.  She held up two and I said "I need two of each" and she cheerfully went back to get more and wished me a good night once I paid.  Now THAT is service.  No eye rolling, no teeth sucking, no sighing – just good old fashioned "Get the customer what he asked for" service!

One cool note: this McDonalds recently renovated, but instead of being a pure "McCafe" format, it fixed things up, got cleaned up and painted several walls with noir pictures that look like comic book versions of some detective novel from the 40's.  It's very cool and I intend to go back to check out more of the paintings.
